We welcome you to Bethel.

Traditional Worship with Brass and Organ, 7:30am and 9am Sunday

Contemporary, 10:30am Sunday

Acoustic Casual, 5:00 Saturday

Bethel has a Staffed Nursery for younger children on Sundays from 8:30-11:30am. We see you as we see ourselves, vulnerable to the challenges of human relationships, and deeply beloved by God. We welcome you who have ever felt excluded by the church because of race, sexual

orientation, gender identity, age, physical or mental ability, family or economic status, or for a reason known only to you. We welcome you whether church life is familiar to you or your faith journey is new, whether you are certain in your beliefs or unsure what you believe. We invite you here because God is inviting you to be here. Striving to create a place where all feel safe and can find peace, let us share the unconditional love of God and, in the power of the Holy Spirit, work together to extend grace, mercy, and justice – within Bethel, in our communities, and the world. Bethel Lutheran was founded in 1855, the campus is located blocks from the Capitol. Through Bethel Horizons, a beautiful camp and retreat center near Governor Dodge State Park, thousands experience growth in their faith. Bethel is a Reconciling in Christ congregation. Bethel is part of the South-Central Synod of Wisconsin-ELCA.

Please join us in welcoming Deacon Einstein Gonzalez to the Bethel Lutheran Church community!

Einstein began his call as Bethel’s Deacon for Community Ministries on June 1 and was introduced to the congregation by Pastor Dave on June 7. In this role, he will help lead and strengthen Bethel’s outreach ministries, including our work with neighbors experiencing homelessness, the Food Pantry, and other community partnerships that reflect Christ’s love in action.

We are grateful for the gifts, experience, and passion for service that Einstein brings to this ministry. An official installation service with Bishop Joy Mortensen-Wiebe will take place later this summer.

Please keep Einstein in your prayers as he begins this new chapter of ministry at Bethel. Welcome, Einstein!

“Women’s praying together has always carried a deeply transformative and even subversive dimension: creating spaces of solidarity, nurturing communities of care, sustaining faith under oppression, and opening possibilities for justice, healing, and new life,” said LWF General Secretary Rev. Dr Anne Burghardt today during a webinar.

Lutheran women from around the world gathered online for the launch of ‘Together We Pray,' a new prayer book celebrating the wisdom, faith and witness of women.

Presiding Bishop Yehiel Curry has issued his first in a series of monthly messages that will continue through the end of this year under the title "All Together in One Place."

On May 12th, Bethel members supported our Adopt-A-School partner, Emerson Elementary, at their Annual Family Brentwood Event. Bethel volunteers handed out nearly 400 popsicles to students and families gathered for an evening of free food, entertainment, and community celebration in the Brentwood neighborhood, where many Emerson families live.

Bethel is grateful for this ongoing partnership and the opportunity to support local students and families throughout the year through meals, donations, volunteering, and community events. Service and connection are an important part of life at Bethel Lutheran Church. From outreach ministries and community meals to music, study groups, and volunteer opportunities, there are many ways to get involved, build relationships, and make a difference. We invite you to explore Bethel and discover a welcoming community of faith, service, and belonging.

Presiding Bishop Yehiel Curry has released a statement on the shooting at the Islamic Center of San Diego.

“As the ELCA, we must speak plainly: violence rooted in hatred is sin. We condemn Islamophobia and acknowledge its rise in recent years. Our church affirms that “anti-Muslim hatred is antithetical to our Christian faith” (A Declaration of the ELCA to the Muslim Community), for we are called to love our neighbor in ways that cast out fear (1 John 4:18).”
