Jefferson County House of Hope The Jefferson County House of Hope is a food pantry sponsored and supported by eighteen local churches.

The House of Hope is a 501c3 non-profit organization providing supplemental food to food-insecure families living in Jefferson County The Jefferson County House of Hope is open to the public twice weekly: Tuesday 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM and Friday 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM. Food donations are accepted on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM Proof of Jefferson County residence and a picture ID are required.

This weekend, the House of Hope was blessed by generous donations from Resurrection Lutheran and North Madison Christian Churches in Madison!

Thanks to their kindness, the pantry received 40Ibs of ground beef and approximately 200 loaves of bread, which will help provide for guests seeking food assistance this week.

A huge thank you goes out to everyone who participated, volunteered or donated in the National Association of Letter Carriers Stamp Out Hunger food drive this year! The pantry especially wants to express gratitude to all of the letter carriers who gathered donations while on their routes Saturday. Locally, 1,513lbs of nonperishable food items were collected and donated to the House of Hope!

The National Association of Letter Carriers Annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive is tomorrow!

Participating is easy! 📫 Simply place healthy, non-perishable food donations in any bag by your mailbox tomorrow morning, May 9, before your normal mail delivery! Your Letter Carrier will pick up your generous donations and deliver them locally to the House of Hope food pantry!

Collection barrels are also located in the post office lobbies at both Madison locations (downtown and Green Rd) for your convenience. Thank you in advance to the National Association of Letter Carriers and to you for your generosity!🥫

The Back Sack Project will be replenishing food supplies this summer to prepare for the 2026-27 school term. Please consider donating to the House of Hope to make the continuation of this project possible. Checks payable to the House of Hope, and designated for the Back Sack Project, may be mailed to 100 E Second Street, Suite H, Madison, IN 47250 or dropped off at the reception desk at the Clearinghouse of Jefferson County (Madison, IN) at 100 E 2nd Street any weekday (except holidays) from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Please note donations made through the pantry's website on line option will not be applied to the Back Sack Project. Unfortunately there is not an option to designate your donation.

To participate, it's simple! Leave a bag of nonperishable food items at your mailbox and your letter carrier will deliver them to the House of Hope.

The House of Hope was grateful to receive a generous donation of 3 racks of bread (over 300 loaves) this weekend from North Madison Christian Church following their monthly food giveaway. Youth from Kent Christian Church then sorted and boxed the bread, preparing it for storage in the cooler for guests visiting the pantry needing assistance this week.
