We're getting back into the DCC Kids rhythm! 🎉 Kids who attended in-person received a monthly memory verse page. Preschoolers color a pic, elementary kids mark their progress. The hope and goal is two-fold: Kids will grow seeing the benefit of spending time with God's Word outside of Sunday mornings and, these verses, through repetition and memorization, would become part of our children...when they need God's Word as they grow, we hope the Holy Spirit will remind them of these verses! Return the completed page & recite the verse at month's end for a prize! 🎁

Each day from Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday, each scratch-off reveals a short passage, discussion and prayer prompt for your family that leads to the empty tomb. Hey DCC Sprecher Kids...find these prayer hearts around Door Creek Church! A few weeks ago, we had a Sunday morning lesson about prayer. These hearts were made by people in our church who prayed over our kids. They're a reminder for our kids that they are being prayed for AND that they should be praying for others. Let's see who can find the remaining prayer hearts throughout our building!

We still have plenty of room in our Flag Football League! For boys and girls grades 4K-Grade 6. This is a great place for your player to try a new sport! Practices start the week of August 18.
• One practice per week and one game per week. One hour each.
• Teams will be Co-Ed and practices will be Monday's, Tuesday's, Thursday's or Friday's evenings, depending on coaches availability. 5pm or 6pm practice times (tentative).
• Practices start the week of Aug 18.
• Games are held on Saturday mornings, Sept 6-Oct 25.

-For all players grades 4K-6th| No experience needed!

Last week we had great conversations relating to our bottom line...

"When you are worried, trust God".

We heard from kiddos worried about making new friends in new spaces, some were worried about being teased and bullied. Some of our kiddos were worried being left out of social gatherings and worried about the pressures of school .

As leaders and helpers in our classrooms, It was a wonderful opportunity to point the kiddos back to Jesus and remind them of our Bible Verse this month: Be strong, all you who put your hope in the Lord. Never give up. Psalm 31:24

Looking forward to diving into next weeks lesson: Talking to God when you are Angry. Hope to see all of your kiddos back at church!
