Theme: Pentecost Give Away
Scripture: Acts 2
In harmony with our Compassionate Community core value and inspired by the early church's Pentecost practices in Acts 2:42-47, MMCers of all ages are sharing gifts this week as practical acts of joy, mutual support, and prophetic redistribution. We will give and receive these gifts within our worship service.

Additionally, all were invited in worship on 5/17 to reflect on gifts you’ve received from MMC over the months or years, or from other beloved communities. Write them down, or memorize them. There will be an opportunity in Sunday's service to share gratitude for these gifts you’ve received.

Safe Church & Children/Youth

Join members of the Safe Church Team to learn more about creating and supporting a safe environment for our *children and youth* at MMC. We'll also highlight aspects of the Safe Church policy related to caring for this age group.

5 pm - Worship
Theme: Peace With God: Gifts in the Wilderness
Speaker: Pastor Valerie
Scripture: Exodus 15:22–16:36
Special Guest: John Fournelle (Veterans for Peace)

During this series, "Path to Peace With God," our worship services will be inspired by the scriptures and themes the children are following in Peace School. MMC adults might not notice much difference in most of the services, but we look forward to listening together, across all generations, to the ways these shared themes might lead us into a deeper sense of God's peace and presence.

Focus scripture for the week is Numbers 27: 6-7, from the account of the daughters Zelophehad (Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah):

[T]he Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “The daughters of Zelophehad are right in what they are saying; you shall indeed let them possess an inheritance among their father’s brothers and pass the inheritance of their father on to them."
