This artwork was created live during a sermon on the Parable of the Sower on Sunday, July 12, 2026 (Matthew 13:1–9, 18–23).

In this Gospel, Jesus teaches that the Good News is meant for everyone — just as the Sower scatters seed generously across all kinds of soil. Even when understanding varies, Jesus shares his message openly and abundantly.

Visually, this oil pastel painting shows that the soil covers only a small part of the page. The soil — even the good soil — is not the whole point. Jesus calls us to be generous with our care, just as he is generous with his love.

As the artist blends the colors of the sunset — oranges, reds, violets, blues, and browns — the art comes alive. Just as a sunset needs all its colors, our community needs all its people. Inclusion creates beauty, depth, and life.
