WATCH NIGHT Service!!! 👀

This powerful tradition dates back to December 31, 1862, a pivotal moment in history known as Freedom's Eve. On this fateful night, enslaved Black people gathered in churches and homes nationwide, united in prayer and anticipation, awaiting the stroke of midnight that would mark the enactment of the Emancipation Proclamation.

As the clock struck midnight, January 1, 1863, freedom was declared, and the air was filled with prayers, tears, and jubilant shouts of praise. People fell to their knees, thanking God for their deliverance and the strength to endure.

For over 150 years, this tradition has been a beacon of hope and resilience, as people of color, particularly in the Black Church, come together on New Year's Eve to express gratitude for the past year and faith in the promise of a brighter future.

In the sacred moment just before midnight, we join hands, kneel, and pray, carrying the weight of our collective struggles into God's presence and stepping into the New Year with hope and trust.

Watch Night is more than a tradition – it's a testament to the power of faith, remembrance, and the unyielding hope that God would and did deliver. It's an honor to be part of this enduring legacy. .. ..
