📣… You may questioned God, but NEVER his sovereignty‼️
I’ve heard all my life “ I don’t question God”. As I got older I learned that God wants us to question him by asking. “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.”
James 1:5 KJV ( meaning) Humbly Asking God "why" out of pain, grief, hurt or a genuine desire to understand is a normal part of faith and is divinely respectful to God. 😃
I had to learn that ➡️ Rebellious Accusing and HUMBLY asking is different & it is okay to ASK God questions, YET it is VERY wrong ❌ to put Him on trial with an attitude of pride or anger as to correct or rebuke him… 🤣
✅ Respecting God’s sovereignty is acknowledging he is the supreme ruler of the universe and knows everything. By no means are we to disrespect or question his authority, EVER‼️ For WE are the clay, and God is the potter. A pot (we) cannot demand that the maker explain every choice yet we may ASK respectfully. I’ve LEARNED that human wisdom is very small compared to GOD’s divine wisdom. 🤣 There were many in the Bible that questioned God and were not punished. Should one question God? ..WHAT DO YOU think???… Do you think you can ASK about anything that concerns you, respectfully?
🔥 Job questioned God because he suffered immense, sudden tragedy despite being a righteous and innocent man. ⬇️
💫“ If I have sinned, what have I done to you, you watcher of everyone? Why have you made me your target?" (Job 7:20).🤷🏽♀️
🔥 David questioned God primarily out of deep emotional anguish, feelings of abandonment, and the exhaustion of running for his life. ⬇️
💫 “ How long, O Lord? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me?" (Psalm 13:1)
🔥 Habakkuk questioned God because he was deeply troubled by the rampant injustice, violence, and corruption he saw around him, and he could not understand why God was staying silent. 💁🏽♀️
💫 How long, Lord, must I call for help, but you do not listen? Or cry out to you, 'Violence!' but you do not save? Why do you make me look at injustice? Why do you tolerate wrongdoing?" (Habakkuk 1:2–3)….
Even Jesus questioned God!⬇️
“And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?” Matthew 27:46 KJV
