Top three reasons why I will be there tonight:

1. God calls us to weep with those who are weeping and rejoice with those who are rejoicing. Tonight I will have opportunity to do both.
2. I have watched the "Juneteenth: Faith and Freedom" documentary and was deeply impacted by it. I want to watch it again, this time with like-minded members of our community, our former Pastor, Rick Badger, and UW-Madison History Department lecturer and author Paul Grant to engage in the Q&A discussion afterward.
3. The food is going to be awesome! 😋
