What a word Sunday! We were reminded that the Kingdom of Heaven is not just a place we are going to one day — it is a spiritual reality we have access to right now. And within that Kingdom, God has stored up treasures for His children that are not carnal, not earthly, but mighty through God.

Pastor P. focused on one of those treasures: Spiritual Authority. Authority is the power to act — the privilege, freedom, and delegated influence to carry out God's will on the earth. It is not about how fast, strong, brilliant, or educated you are. As Solomon reminds us in Ecclesiastes 9:11, the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong — time and chance belong to God.

We saw how Jesus demonstrated Spiritual Authority in everything He did — teaching, healing, delivering, raising the dead — and how that same authority is available to us. But it does not come from positive confessions alone or from what we knew yesterday. It comes from an ongoing relationship with God, built on trust and obedience. As Watchman Nee wrote, the greatest demand God makes of man is not sacrifice or service — it is obedience.

As Psalm 37:4-5 declares:
"Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass."

There is more required of us than yesterday's faith. Seek Him fresh today.

This Sunday’s message, “Are You Ready for Suddenly?”, reminded us that the outpouring at Pentecost was not random, but the result of trusting God’s promise, walking in obedience, and waiting patiently in faith. Through Acts 2, we were encouraged to believe God’s promises, participate in His process through unity and prayer, and endure with patience even when answers seem delayed. The disciples did their part, and then God moved “suddenly” in a powerful way. As we continue seeking God, may we remain ready for the unexpected ways He chooses to work in our lives. Hello LH Family! As we pause this day, Memorial Day, we honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. We are thankful for their sacrifice and pray for the families who continue to carry their memory. May we never forget the cost of freedom.

🌾 The blessing doesn't bypass the work — it flows THROUGH it.

God promised in Genesis 8:22 that seedtime and harvest shall not cease. But neither phase is passive. Every step requires your hand to be SET to something.

Deuteronomy 28 says the LORD shall command the blessing on ALL that thou settest thine hand unto — not just the easy assignments. Not just the visible works. ALL of it.

✋ The hand that prepares in faith — BLESSED.
✋ The hand that refuses to bury its talent — BLESSED.
✋ The hand that stays in the field when the enemy plants distractions — BLESSED.
✋ Your hidden labor — BLESSED.
✋ Your harvest that hasn't come in yet — it's coming, and it is BLESSED.

Lift up your eyes. Set your hand. Do the works.

For blessed — are the works — of YOUR hands. 🙌

Hey Everybody,

We pray that God is blessing and keeping you. This past Sunday we opened Matthew 28 and the message was simple, but powerful. Jesus does not wait for us at the tomb. He wants us to meet him in Galilee, the place where he is.

Jesus is Ahead of You
See, before Mary and the women took a single step that resurrection morning, Jesus was already ahead of them. That is not a geographical detail — it is a revelation about what he was up to. He is always the forerunner. And the angel's message to the women is the same message to us today: "He has gone before you. Meet Him.”

Leave the Tomb
The tomb is wherever you keep returning when you do not know where else to go. Maybe it is a past season when God moved powerfully. A word from years ago you are still standing on. A version of faith that feels hollow now. The women were devoted — but they were at the wrong location. Paul said it clearly in Philippians 3:13–14: forget what is behind and press toward what is ahead. The tomb is not your address. It is your departure point.

Stay Focused
While Jesus was meeting the women with joy on the road, a coordinated lie was already being formed to discredit the resurrection. That pattern has not changed. Lies about your past, your present, and your future will always try to pull you back. Keep Galilee in view. Stay on the road and be determined.

The resurrection happened so Jesus could stand on that mountain with a word of destiny. So, let’s keep moving toward our personal Galilee to where Jesus is. He has a plan to give you a future and a hope!!!

Be Blessed,
Pastor Herman Porter Jr & Pastor Miranda Porter

PS. Looking forward to seeing you Sunday!
