Scripture for Today:
"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." — Matthew 11:28 (NIV)
Prayer:
“Lord Jesus, out here on the open range of life, we carry loads that wear us down. We ask You today to ride with us, to lighten our burdens, and to give our hearts the rest only You can provide. Keep our eyes on You, our true trail boss, and guide us safely down the path You’ve set before us. Amen.”
Message:
Life out on the trail, whether riding through wide open fields or facing the dust and heat of the day, can wear a cowboy down. In the same way, life’s struggles, work, family, finances, or personal battles can leave us heavy and tired. But Jesus gives us an open invitation: “Come to Me.”
He doesn’t say we need to clean up first or prove ourselves worthy. He simply tells us to come, bringing our weariness and burdens. Just like a cowboy finds rest by watering his horse and sitting by the fire at day’s end, we find true rest when we draw near to Christ.
Today, remember rest isn’t found in escaping our troubles, but in placing them in the hands of the One who carries us through every valley and over every mountain.
