United Methodist Women of Madera, CA United Methodist Women turns faith, hope and love into action on behalf of women, children and youth in the world. We meet monthly (not July and August).

United Methodist Women (UMW) is a faith-based membership organization of laywomen within The United Methodist Church. We are organized for mission and our members are committed to growing as disciples of Jesus Christ in community with other women and building the lives of women, children and youth. United Methodist Women has been in mission for more than 140 years. Every woman at Madera United Met

hodist Church is a member of our UMW. During meetings we often have presentations from providers of community-based services and focus on both long- and short-term projects. One current project involves responding to physical/ logistical needs of a local women's shelter. Another current project is a water distribution ministry during the very hot summer months.
