Matthew 22 reminds us that the invitation has been given, the greatest command is to love God with everything, and Jesus is the One worthy of it all.

Jesus saw Israel like a fig tree: full of leaves (religious appearance) but bearing no fruit (genuine obedience). All the blessings, all the privileges, all the covenant promises—but where's the transformation? Jesus isn't looking for a pretty exterior. He's looking for real, visible fruit.
