The Gathering was a dynamic coming together of Covenant Life Cathedral and Victory Church! The love, hospitality, fellowship, and unity were tangible. It was truly a beautiful picture of what happens when the Body of Christ comes together with one heart, one spirit, and one purpose.
Pastor Bob Hunnicutt and Lady Hunnicutt, thank you for graciously inviting us to be a part of such a God-ordained worship experience. Your love and hospitality were felt throughout The Gathering, and we are grateful for the opportunity to fellowship and worship together.
Prophetess Queenie Hayes, thank you for always executing the vision of the house with such love, compassion, excellence, and intentionality. Your labor and commitment do not go unnoticed!
On Thursday night, Bishop Donald Watkins, Jr. ministered in accordance with the theme of The Gathering, “We’re Still Standing!”, from Psalm 124. What a reminder that if it had not been for the Lord who was on our side, we would not have made it—but WE’RE STILL STANDING!
Then on Friday, August 14, Bishop Watkins preached “Accumulated Evidence” from Mark 6:42–52. When we look back over our lives, we have accumulated evidence of God’s faithfulness—evidence that He provides, evidence that He delivers, evidence that He makes ways, and evidence that if He did it before, we can trust Him to do it again!
We leave The Gathering strengthened, encouraged, and grateful for the fellowship between Covenant Life Cathedral and Victory Church. May the unity we experienced continue far beyond these two nights.
