On Sunday we heard from our mission partner, Families for Families. Philip and his team here in Central Georgia are doing an incredible work of connecting church to the necessary work of Foster Care. He quoted their founder when he said, "There is not a foster care crisis in our state, there is an obedience crisis in our churches." The work of caring for the orphan has always been mandated of God's people and we are thankful to come alongside ministries like Families for Families and the Methodist Home. Summer is an important season in our Youth Ministry! They will have many events, several camps, and countless hours in a church van! Let's cover this coming season in prayer. The youth room will be open for drop-in-prayer from 5-8pm, including a time of guided prayer and worship at 6pm. If you are a youth, a parent, or simply someone who desires to see the next generation know the Lord, this is a time for you!

Today we hold onto that promise that we, like the disciples of Jesus gathered in that upper room on Pentecost, have received the Promise of the Father, the Power from on High, the Holy Spirit. May that be more than knowledge, but lived reality!
