This past weekend the youth held St. Innocent's very first lock-in at the parish!

Activities included a pilgrimage to St. John the Wonderworker's Parish in Atlanta to learn about the many relics they have oi various Saints. Afterwards, movies and games, lessons and snacks made for a fun and educational time for our youth.

Thank everyone for their many hours dedicated to nurturing our youth and committing their time to their well-being. Especially to Leah Truhn for all her work.

This week, the men of our Parish began a project to prepare the church for new iconography later this year. But not before four floors of scaffolding! Some close calls and good laughs kept us going through the grace of our Lord.

Thank you to everyone who came out to support this project and we look forward to some great renovations and exciting new iconography for this beautiful sanctuary.

Last Sunday our parish rejoiced in the radiant Feast of Holy Pentecost — the fulfillment of Christ’s promise and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles.

These moments from the Divine Liturgy and Kneeling Vespers capture not only the beauty of our worship, but the life of the Church itself: gathered together, clothed in prayer, and renewed by the grace of the Spirit. At Vespers we kneel for the first time since Pascha, offering prayers for the Church, for the world, and for the salvation of all.

Pentecost is not simply a remembrance of something long ago — it is the revelation that the Holy Spirit continues to dwell and act within Christ’s Church, calling us into repentance, communion, and new life.

“O Heavenly King, Comforter, Spirit of Truth, Who art everywhere present and fillest all things… come and abide in us.”

Lastly, but most assuredly not least, a fair well and many years to our beloved Douglas!

Blessed Feast of Pentecost!
