Late last night early this morning as I laid down, I began to pray. Just my normal prayer. But then I asked the Holy Spirit to reveal where we are as a body of believers. Within that same span, I was given a simple but piercing glimpse: Christ weeping. I asked, “Why is Christ weeping?” And I heard, “My bride has let the thief in.” I will continue to seek the heart of the Father, but what I saw in the national climate was hatred, bitterness, and toxic division.
The bride wasn’t fully attentive distracted by other pursuits, other agendas while deeper spiritual erosion unfolded. I repent on behalf of the body on behalf of the bride that we would unify ourselves and make ready for the return of Christ. There is pain we as believers have amplified through our unwillingness to cast our care to the Father.
We cast our cares about money, promotion, and success, but often fail to cast our cares about the climate of our world. Then I was reminded of Scripture that tells us to be in the world, but not of it. Despite being human flesh and bone we have an obligation to cast our concerns to the Father and stay the course. Hatred, bitterness, backbiting, murmuring, and complaining these are all things God hates that blur the lines of what is required of us as believers. I simply say, sober yourselves. Whether many read this or few this is the hour where we must sober ourselves and position our hearts and minds by nature back to the Father.
