We're excited for the month of May at NKM!

It’s May, and we’re nearing the end of God’s Big Story as we travel through the Bible in a year. This month holds two incredible truths for kids. First of all, we are, right now, living in God’s Big Story—the time between when Jesus returned to heaven, and when He will come back to earth again. And that’s the second amazing truth: that in the end, God will make everything right!

We start off with Peter and Paul boldly facing the Sanhedrin, and then
travel with Philip into the wilderness, where he meets an Ethiopian official with big questions. We watch Saul on the road to Damascus as his blindness helps him truly see, and we go on deck with Paul as he weathers a terrible storm at sea, followed by a shipwreck. We end with John’s vision of heaven, where God Himself will one day wipes the tears from our eyes and mend everything that’s broken. It’s a great time
for kids to discover how we can follow in the footsteps of Peter and Paul and many others to share the Good News of Jesus. And no matter what challenges we face, we can always rely on the Holy Spirit to help us.

HAPPY EASTER from the Northway Kids ministry team!

We look forward to seeing you very soon as we continue to celebrate our Risen Savior!!

We’ll gather together at 9:00am and 10:30 @ Northway and 10:40 @ the Rescue Mission. See you there!

Happy April! Jesus is alive! And we can’t wait to help you celebrate with you this month.

When Jesus died for our sins, He reconciled us to God, and then when He stepped out of the tomb, He defeated the power of death. This is the reason that we can have joy, no matter what’s going on in our lives. This was all part of God’s rescue plan that began in the Garden.

Our month begins with the worst day in history, when Jesus was crucified, followed by the very best day: when He rose again! Then we travel along with two friends on the road to Emmaus and experience their surprise and joy when the stranger they meet turns out to be Jesus. We discover the enormous job that Jesus gave to His followers, including us, before returning to heaven. And with the disciples, we witness the amazing arrival of God’s Holy Spirit at Pentecost, sealing the promise that Jesus gave to always be with us, and guiding and helping us every day. Kids will discover that when we lean into Jesus, we can experience joy that’s far deeper than mere happiness.

Mothers and sons (5K-5th grade) are invited to join us for a Mercer baseball game! We will spend quality time together, watch the game, and enjoy dinner together.

The game will be Friday, April 17, at 6:00pm at the Mercer baseball field. Tickets are $15 per person. Register by April 12.
