We are a FREE residential life recovery program for men, women and children experiencing domestic violence, addictions, sexual abuse, poverty, homelessness, and other life hurts. The Mission’s programs and services are offered to men, women and children, who are ready to make a permanent life change without regard to race, religion, age, social standing or where they’re from. MISSION OVERVIEW
The
Rescue Mission of Middle Georgia (RMMG) is a faith-based, life recovery program for people dealing with all types of addictions, domestic violence, sexual abuse, poverty, homelessness, and other life hurts. For over 68 years, the Mission has provided a path of hope, redemption and empowerment through Jesus Christ to break the cycle of violence and abuse in families, while also giving aid to the hungry and homeless. The goal of the RMMG is to walk with those in need of physical, mental and spiritual healing through Jesus Christ, in order, for them to become the men and women God has called them to be. By providing them with the love, tools and accountability necessary to transition into a healthy and stable life, the Mission helps men and women go on to have a positive, productive impact on their families and communities. The staff, along with a team of volunteers, accountability partners, healthcare professionals, spiritual mentors and small groups work to provide a continual support network for those in the program. LIFE RECOVERY PROGRAM
The 12-month residential life-recovery program provides structure, training, discipline and accountability aimed at preparing residents for a return to their family and community as healed, self-sufficient, productive people. The recovery program is designed to enable residents to first identify the root cause and underlying factors of what they are experiencing, and then to gain the healing and tools to change their negative, self-destructive choices and behaviors. In the study/work program residents work hard through counseling, daily Bible study and chapel, weekly community recovery ministries attendance, classes in pattern-changing, healthy choices, boundary setting, building healthy relationships, parenting, and life skills, to overcome the sufferings of their past. They also begin to take responsibility for their future livelihood, building a solid work ethic along with job skills through the work therapy portion of the program. While in the program, the Mission also assists residents in acquiring medical, eye and dental care to help restore their overall health. Once a resident successfully completes all phases of the program, they may elect to remain at the Mission for up to three months during which time the Mission continues to provide housing and other essential needs while assisting the resident with securing employment and permanent housing.
