🚧 Traffic Alert for Wesley UMC & Wesley Child Care 🚧

Beginning June 4, road work will take place on W. Calhoun Street between N. Ward and N. Lamoine. The project is expected to last approximately 15 working days (weather permitting).

While the road will not be fully closed, daytime lane restrictions and limited driveway access may affect entry to our campus.

For the safety and convenience of our church members, families, staff, and visitors, we ask that everyone use the Adams Street entrance whenever possible during construction.

We held our first training for youth interested in becoming Acolytes!

Our future acolytes learned that the word “acolyte” means servant — and that their role is much more than lighting candles. Through their service, they help remind the congregation of Christ’s presence with us in worship.

We are excited to see young people stepping forward to serve in this meaningful ministry. If your child or youth is interested in becoming an acolyte, please contact the church office for more information!

We bring that nostalgic format into worship for Pentecost Sunday with a special presentation of “Wesley Prayer” performed by the Wesley Praise Band.

As the music plays, pop-up moments are explored:

• the story behind the Methodist Cross & Flame
• John Wesley’s “heart strangely warmed” experience
• Wesleyan faith in action
• and how the Holy Spirit still moves today

More than just a song, this becomes a creative worship experience rooted in history, theology, and the ongoing work of the Spirit.
