🌟 Week 1 Recap at Camp Calvary 🌟

What an incredible start to the summer!

This week, campers experienced powerful worship, exciting activities, meaningful service opportunities, and time spent growing in their relationship with Christ.

*Field & Stream

Dean Josh Smith shared:
"We spent the week fishing, shooting clay pigeons, shooting .22 rifles, and throwing tomahawks. We talked this week about the truth of Scripture and God's Word and we ended the week with a baptism."

*First Chance 1 & Primary Sleepover 1

Dean Matt Spaulding shared:
"We had a great time talking about how We All Need S’more Jesus in our lives. We started Sunday night off with a baptism! We had fun and had some great times of worship. We ended our last campfire with s’mores."

Dean Brian Compton shared:
"We had a great week serving several folks in the Letcher County area. Got several projects done. Everyone worked hard and had a fun time doing so! Our biggest highlight without a doubt was meeting Oscar. He's a 1st grader who lives with his grandmother and he is just a delight! The kids really took to him whether it was playing Uno or having him chase them! God definitely used the people we served to serve us as well."

We are thankful for every camper, dean, faculty member and supporter who helped make Week 1 such a success. God is already moving, and we can't wait to see what He has in store for the rest of the summer!

Summer camp has started and we are in need of items on our wishlist!

As little hands line up to wash before lunch, we are using LOTS of soap and paper towels.

As deans dream up an unforgettable week of camp, they need special supplies to bring those plans to life (see item description for specific camp week).

As staff care for the campers, they reach for gloves, safety glasses, cleaning supplies, and other everyday essentials.

And week after week, as memories are made and lives are changed, those supplies disappear faster than you might think!

Every roll of paper towels, every bottle of soap, and every donated item helps make another week of camp possible. Thank you for partnering with us to impact lives for Christ this summer!
