When did we get so comfortable watching people struggle and deciding it's somebody else's problem?

In Mark 3, Jesus encountered a man with a withered hand, and the religious leaders cared more about their rules than the man's suffering. Scripture says Jesus was angry and grieved by their hardened hearts.

Think about that. Jesus was troubled by people who could witness suffering and feel nothing. That ought to challenge us to pay attention, speak up, and get involved, because compassion means something when people can actually experience it through our actions.🙏🏾

Some of y'all are still holding yourselves hostage over something God has already forgiven. You keep bringing up that mistake from five years ago, replaying what happened, and allowing guilt to influence how you see yourself today. At some point, you've got to ask yourself whose voice you're listening to.

Think about Peter... This man denied Jesus three times, and in John 21, Jesus sat down with him, gave him an opportunity to reaffirm his love, and entrusted him with the responsibility of caring for His people. Peter's failure was real, but Jesus still had work for him to do.😌

And somebody needs to understand that today. You can acknowledge where you went wrong, take responsibility, make things right where you can, and still move forward in what God has called you to do. Stop allowing yesterday's decisions to have more influence over your future than the forgiveness you've received through Jesus.🙏🏾

Big weekend at Mosaic! Saturday, October 17, our women are gathering for a day of worship, prayer, teaching, and community. Then, on Sunday, October 18, the whole Mosaic family is coming together for Homecoming Sunday to celebrate 14 years! 🏠🎉
