Have you ever felt like no matter how hard you try, it is just never enough? You push harder, do more, follow every rule, and still feel like you are falling short. You are not alone. Many people spend their entire lives exhausted, striving to earn something that was never meant to be earned in the first place. In Romans 9, Paul points out something remarkable. The Gentiles, people who were not even trying to pursue righteousness, found it. Meanwhile, many in Israel who worked tirelessly to attain it through the law missed it completely. How? They were looking in the wrong direction. God's righteousness is not a finish line you cross after enough effort. It is a gift you receive. Think about that for a moment. A gift. You do not work for a gift. You do not earn a gift. You simply open your hands and receive it. If you have been running yourself ragged trying to be good enough for God, today is an invitation to stop. Not because effort is bad, but because this particular effort was never yours to make. Christ already made it for you. You are not too far behind. You are not too broken. You are simply being invited to receive what God has already prepared for you.
"Stop working to establish your own righteousness and simply receive God's righteousness through faith in Christ. He gives it to you as a gift."
