TOMORROW, June 24 is our Annual Strawberry Social from 4-6:30pm. There will be hot dogs, hot dogs, Italian sausage and lots of salads/sides. Then get strawberry shortcake and ice cream. Everything is individually priced so get only what you want. This is a fundraiser for the mission work of the United Women in Faith.

Today we had invited our local law enforcement personnel to church so we could acknowledge and thank them.
We were pleased to have Sherriff Robert Milby join us for our worship service and for a potluck meal afterwards. He shared that it had been a busy weekend for the Sherriff's Dept.
We, at the Lyons United Methodist Church, THANK all of the local police departments, sherriff and state troopers for all they do for us every shift and day they work!

Our Mother-Daughter Banquet is next Thursday, May 14 at 6pm. The theme is "Blast from the Past" so please bring a dish-to-pass that you grew up with (bring the recipe too!)
To make it more fun, war an outfit from the past or bring in something from your younger years. Table service and beverages will be provided.
