We were not going to let the day get away without recognizing this amazing couple, Larry and Judy Cain. They are celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary TODAY! In a world where marriage is often disregarded, these two are an example of forgiveness, grace, love, and tenacity. It was a joy for our church to celebrate them on Sunday! Help us wish them a happy 70th!

Today, we honor and remember those who fought the good fight.

This past Sunday we explored John 16:12–15 and what it means to hear and follow the voice of the Holy Spirit in the message, When the Spirit Speaks.

Our deep dive Bible study is now available — take a deeper look into the Scripture, context, and application from Sunday’s message.

Be sure to watch the video, share it with friends, and join us as we continue learning what it means to walk led by the Spirit.

This Friday at 10:00 AM, we will gather together to honor and celebrate the life of Barbara McAllaster.

Barbara was deeply loved and faithfully served others with prayer, compassion, and kindness. It is our privilege to remember her life and the hope we have in Christ together.

For those unable to attend in person, the service will be livestreamed here on our page. Please continue to keep Barbara’s family and loved ones in your prayers.

Celebrate the life of Barbara McAllaster and join others in sharing memories, stories, and condolences.

This summer, Pastor Nickia is prayerfully exploring the possibility of leading a new class centered around the book The Body Revelation by Alisa Keeton — and we would love to know if there is interest within our church family!

This class would be more than simply reading a book together. It would be an invitation to reconnect our faith, our bodies, movement, rest, healing, and the goodness of God’s creation. Together, we would walk through the themes of stewarding our health, renewing our minds, and learning how to live healthy and whole lives through a Christ-centered lens.

As part of the experience, we would finish our study with a group walk and prayer experience, with hopes throughout the summer of gathering outdoors in places such as Kanopolis State Park or Wilson State Park to hike, move our bodies, experience God’s creation, and intentionally listen for His voice together.

Some of you may not know that Pastor Nickia is a certified RevWild Instructor through Revelation Wellness. RevWild is Revelation Wellness’ outdoor leadership training that equips leaders to guide others through outdoor adventures and experiences centered around loving God, getting healthy, being whole, and loving others. The training focuses on using movement, wilderness, and creation as spaces to encounter God in deep and meaningful ways.

Over the past several years, graduate school and ministry responsibilities have pulled Pastor Nickia away from leading wilderness and outdoor discipleship groups, but the desire to return to this kind of ministry has remained deeply rooted in her heart. This class would be a first step back into creating spaces where people can move, breathe, pray, heal, laugh, and encounter God together outdoors.

If this is something you would be interested in, please let Pastor Nickia know! We would also love feedback regarding scheduling preferences:

Wednesdays or Sundays?
Morning or evening?

We are excited to see what God may have in store for this summer season together.
