A New Series Is Coming: The Lord’s Prayer

Most of us know the words. Some of us learned them as children. We may be able to recite them from memory.

“Our Father, who art in heaven…”

But have we ever stopped to ask: "What was Jesus really teaching us to pray?"

Over the next seven weeks, we’re going to slow down and take a fresh look at one of the most familiar prayers in all of Scripture.

Because "The Lord’s Prayer" is more than something we recite. It teaches us how to approach God. How to trust. How to surrender. How to forgive. How to depend on Him. And how to pray, “Your will be done.”

We invite you to join us as we begin our new series: The Lord’s Prayer.

Today was a beautifully full day together. We had breakfast, small groups, worship, and potluck. But the absolute best was being able to offer a prayer of blessing over all our students and teachers as they begin the school year. There is nothing better than being a community in Christ.

Even though we will gather for breakfast that morning, our Third Sunday Potluck is still on! Breakfast will be a little lighter, so come hungry and bring a favorite dish to share following worship. There is always room at the table, and we look forward to enjoying good food and fellowship together!

In a world that often values being loud and quick to respond, God calls us to reflect Christ through gentleness, kindness, and grace. Our words and actions can point others to His love.

No matter what today brings, remember this comforting truth: The Lord is near. He walks with us, strengthens us, and fills our hearts with His peace.

May His presence be seen in the way we love, serve, and care for others.
