🔥 We had an amazing night at The Anchor!! 🔥

We looked at a parable in Luke, and discussed our how choices can affect the state of our lives. Are we seeking God's wisdom in the choices we're faced with every day? How often are we examining the choices we've made? 🤔

No matter what, God's forgiveness is always available.

Starting THIS Wednesday night, August 12th, at 7:30 PM in the Modular we're kicking off the fall with a series called "Life" where we'll explore three different questions about the way we live our lives!

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. Last night we studied what it means to be pure in heart! It was a great evening of worship, study, and fellowship!

We had another great night at The Anchor studying the Beatitudes! Last night we looked at the Parable of the Unforgiving Servant and saw that being merciful should be limitless, habitual, and a reminder of the mercy that was shown to us by God. 🔥

Last night Nick did an incredible job teaching us about how we should hunger and thirst for righteousness! We were all created with a need, and we will try to fill that need with something. However, only God can truly satisfy.

We had another great night at The Anchor as we took a look at the 3rd beatitude: blessed are the meek! Jesus Christ is the ultimate example of meekness. Come join us next week as we continue studying the Bible! ⚓️

Last night at The Anchor we took a look at the second beatitude! When we come before God broken over and mourning our sin, He provides comfort. We mourn the sin in our lives to the point where we can do nothing else but approach the Father in brokenness over sin we haven't confessed, and when we do that, He meets us with grace and forgiveness, comforting us. ⚓️

What does it mean to be poor in spirit? 🤔

To be poor in spirit means we admit that we are dead in our sins, unable to save ourselves, with nothing to offer for salvation. Recognizing we cannot work our way to salvation, humbling ourselves before God, empty-handed, calling out to Him for rescue, and we receive the free gift of salvation with humility before God.
