Come and experience our Divine Liturgy any Sunday at 9:30 a.m. Orthodoxy traces its roots back to the 12 Apostles of Christ. The religion is solemn, holy, and beautiful. St. Andrew is focusing on growth and is seeking people who want to grow spiritually with us!

St. Andrew Orthodox Church was founded in 1906 by immigrants from Eastern Europe who settled in city of Butler and the town of Lyndora which is adjacent to the afore mentioned city. It is located in the South East corner of the US Census Bureau’s [designated places] (CDP) for Butler in the valley of Connoquenessing Creek.

St. Andrew is one of two Orthodox churches in Lyndora and the oldest in Butler County, the other is SS. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church, established in 1921, and one of three in Butler County and that is the St. Anthony’s Antiochian Orthodox Church, Butler, established in the 1960’s, all within close proximity to the other.

St. Andrew Orthodox Church is under the omophorion of His Eminence, the Most Rev. Archbishop Melchisedek, Archbishop of Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania and is a parish of the Orthodox Church in America.

All of our services are in the vernacular [English], the long held tradition of the church.
