The doors are open once again at the Chapel of the Holy Family.

As another season begins on Darling Hill, we welcome all who are seeking a quiet place to pray, reflect, breathe deeply, and step away from the noise of the world for a little while.

Whether you visit often or are stopping for the very first time, we hope the Chapel offers you peace, hope, and a reminder that you are loved.

Take a walk along the Stations of the Cross.
Spend time in the Rosary Garden honoring Mary during this special month of May.
Sit quietly in prayer.
Or simply enjoy the beauty surrounding this special little chapel on the hill.

Stations of the Cross and Rosary prayer guides are available at the entrances to each walk.

We look forward to welcoming you this season. 🤍

JOY

“That my joy may be in you,” says Jesus. What is this joy of Jesus? It is the result of His continual union with God, doing the will of the Father. This joy is the fruit of union with God, of being in the presence of God.
— Mother Teresa

Joy is not something we chase.
It is something we receive.

It does not come from circumstances.
It comes from being close to God, from walking with Him, from remaining in His presence.

This is the joy that does not fade.

At the Chapel of the Holy Family, we are reminded that true joy is found not in what we have, but in who we are with.

The Chapel is currently closed for the season and will reopen in May. We look forward to welcoming you back.

SERVE

“Never turn your back on the poor, for if you do so, you are turning your back on Christ Jesus.”
— Mother Teresa

These words are not complicated.
They are clear, and they are challenging.

To follow Christ is not only to believe.
It is to act. To notice. To respond.

The call is simple:
Do not turn away.

At the Chapel of the Holy Family, we are reminded that love is not only something we receive.
It is something we are called to give, especially to those most in need.

The Chapel is currently closed and will reopen in May.

LOVE

“We do not need to carry out grand things in order to show great love for God and for our neighbor. It is the intensity of love we put into our gestures that makes them into something beautiful for God.”
— Mother Teresa

We often think love has to be big to matter.
Something noticeable. Something impressive.

But that’s not what we are asked to do.

We are called to give in the small things.
A kind word.
A quiet act of service.
A moment of patience.

What makes it meaningful is not the size of the act, but the love we place into it.

At the Chapel of the Holy Family, we are reminded that the blessings of love are not something we wait for. They are something we experience in the small ways we give ourselves to others each day.

The Chapel is currently closed for the season and will reopen in May. We look forward to welcoming you back.

TRUST

“We must never get into the habit of being preoccupied with the future. There is no reason to do so. God is there.”
— Mother Teresa

It’s easy to let our minds run ahead into worry, into uncertainty, into all the “what ifs.”

But today’s invitation is simple.
Trust.

Not in having all the answers.
Not in controlling what comes next.
But in knowing that wherever the path leads, God is already there.

At the Chapel of the Holy Family, we are reminded that peace is not found in the future. It is found in trust, right here, right now.

The Chapel is currently closed for the season and will reopen in May. We look forward to welcoming you back.

Extending the Blessings of Love

“Maybe in our own family we have somebody who is feeling lonely, who is feeling sick, who is feeling worried, and these are difficult days for everybody. Are we there? Are we there to receive them?”

— St. Teresa of Calcutta
From The Blessings of Love

Even in the quiet moments of life,
this question remains.

Are we present to those who need us?

To notice.
To listen.
To receive.

We are called not only to love,
but to be there.

Experiencing the Blessings of Love

“You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you.
Jesus has chosen us for Himself. We belong to Him.
Let us be so convinced of this belonging that we allow nothing, however small, to separate us from His love.”

— St. Teresa of Calcutta
From The Blessings of Love

Even though the Chapel is still closed for the winter season,
this invitation remains.

To be chosen.
To belong.
To remain in His love.

We look forward to welcoming you back to the Chapel in May.

Even when the Chapel is quiet, the invitation remains.

To seek Him.
To choose Him.
To walk toward Him.

We look forward to welcoming you back in May.

Loving the Poor

“Who are the poorest of the poor?
They are the unwanted, the unloved, the ignored, the hungry, the naked, the homeless, the l***r, and the alcoholic in our midst…

To be able to see and love Jesus in the poor,
we must be one with Christ through a life of deep prayer.”

— St. Teresa of Calcutta
From The Blessings of Love

Even though the Chapel is still closed for the winter season,
this invitation remains.

To see.
To love.
To pray.

We look forward to welcoming you back to the Chapel in May.
