EMBRACING A NEW YEAR WITH LOVE

✨ As we embark on a New Year, In the Year of Our Lord, Two Thousand, and Twenty-Three! Are we doing the best we can to live the life God has planned for us? We have been endowed with the power of the Holy Spirit to choose how we will live, what we desire to achieve, and the steps we must take to fulfilling our life here on earth. We do not have to live a mediocre life, full of compromise and disappointments. “Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart ." Psalm 37:4
This scripture is so often misinterpreted. The scripture is not referring to the material things we desire in life! If we delight ourselves in the Lord, He instills in us His desires! He creates within us what motivates us to live a life pleasing to HIM and will be HAPPY FOR ALL WHO ACKNOWLEDGE JESUS AS THEIR LORD AND SAVIOR! We will love others instead of hate! LOVE IS A SMALL WORD, BUT HAS A MAGNANIMOUS MEANING! LOVE IS THE ONLY ANSWER TO, ANGER, CONFUSION, AND HATE! “If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? 1 John 4:20
Too many of us settle in life for what we feel is beyond our expectations. Many of us become complacent instead of putting God first, trusting His Love, wisdom, Direction, and the Timing; and willing to press forward when we face doubt and challenge. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6
We must not give up, but take charge of all God has promised us through His Son! Jesus suffered for us, so we could be whole, and receive all God has promised us! “For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit by whom also He went and preached to the spirits in prisons who formerly were disobedient, when once the Divine longsuffering waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water. There is also an antitype that now saves us through baptism (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, angels and authorities and powers having been made subject to Him.” 1 Peter 3:18-22
The pain, suffering, and all Christ has endured is overwhelming! Jesus was born to grant each one of us a life that embraces love, peace, happiness unity, respect, and understanding! Even in death, He asked His Father to forgive those who crucified Him! Jesus harbored no hate in His Heart for those who brutally tortured Him, and those who screamed, “Crucify Him!” Many of us today, are still crucifying Jesus, with our hate, anger and inability to love and forgive! Jesus says to His Father and Our Father in Heaven; “Father, forgive them; for they know not what they
do.“ Luke 23:34
Can we all start the New Year, with the Love and Forgiveness Jesus shared with all of us at the cross. The hate, jealousy, resentment, and anger many of us have needs TO STOP TODAY! DO NOT CARRY THIS ACCESS BAGGAGE INTO THE NEW YEAR! LOVE IS THE ANSWER, AND JESUS IS LOVE! “And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.” Ephesians 4:32
We will not have to compromise our dreams, safety, freedom, or what we know is good to accomplish our goals. Many of us give up because we do not wait on the Lord. We make so many useless mistakes in the process! “But they who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles. They shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31
In a few days, we will joyfully Welcome a New Year! No matter how young or old we are, 2023 can be a Stellar Year for us! It is so important for us to make decisions based on Love, Faith, and Trusting God because our choices affect our family, community, and our world! “As For Me and My House, We Will Serve The Lord.” Joshua 24:15.
God wants to use us every day to touch, and bless others and to do our best to lead others to HIM; by illustrating His delight in us! YES, WE DESPERATELY NEED TO MAKE 2023, THE YEAR, WE GIVE OUR HEARTS TO JESUS! We have been empowered to do GREAT THINGS! When we seek LOVE first in our daily pursuits! God HAS PROMISED US THROUGH THE VALIDATION OF HIS SON; to anoint those things we are pursuing! The positive things we can achieve in life are limitless! GOD has Sacrificed the life of His Son, JESUS, to be our ADVOCATE AND CONFIDANT AT ALL TIMES! Our First Daily Affirmation should always be boldly written in our hearts, a note on our refrigerator, and on the door we exit from our home!
These powerful words, “Today Lord, there is nothing I will encounter that together we cannot handle. “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13
Do not wait until New Year's Eve to think about, “What can I do in 2023, to change the negative thoughts I have, try to live a more productive life, stop envying others' success, and why can’t I achieve? If you believe with your whole heart, why Jesus was born, why God gave His Only-begotten Son to be light, salvation, and direction in a world full of darkness, and what we must do to be saved! We must learn to put God First if we want to see true fulfillment in our life. "But seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you.”
Matthew 6:33
LOVE IS THE KEY TO OUR BEST LIFE IN EVERY YEAR! JESUS IS LOVE, GIVE HIM YOUR HEART TODAY! “For God so loved the world that HE gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”
John 3:16-17
PEOPLE, WE ARE THE WORLD! It does not matter what race we are what we have materialistically, how young or old we are! LOVE IS THE KEY TO UNDERSTANDING! LET US EMBRACE EACH OTHER WITH LOVE!
“And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 13:13
