We believe in one Triune God, eternally existing in three persons – The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit – each co-eternal in being, co-identical in nature, co-equal in power and glory and having the same attributes and perfections (Deut. 6:4; Matt. 28:19; II Cor. 13:14; John 14:10,26). We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became man, without ceasing to be God, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful men (Isa. 7:14, 9:6; Luke 1:35, John 1:1-2, 14; II Cor. 5:19-21; Gal. 4:4,5; Phil. 2:5-8). We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ accomplished our redemption through His death on the cross as a representative, vicarious, substitutionary sacrifice; and, that our justification is made sure by His literal, physical resurrection from the dead (Acts 2:18-36;
Rom 3:24,25; I Pet. 2:24; Eph. 1:7; I Pet. 1:3-5). We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ ascended to Heaven, and is now exalted at the right hand of God, where, as our High Priest, He fulfills the ministry of Representative, Intercessor, and Advocate (Acts 1:9,10;Heb. 9:24, 7:25; Rom. 8:34; I John 2:1,2). We believe that the Holy Spirit is a person who convicts the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment; and, that He is the Supernatural Agent in regeneration, baptizing all believers into the body of Christ, indwelling and sealing them unto the day of redemption (John 16:8-11; Rom. 8:9; I Cor. 12:12-14; II Cor. 3:6; Eph. 1:13,14). We believe that He is the Divine Teacher who assists believers to understand and appropriate the Scriptures and that it is the privilege and duty of all the saved to be filled with the Spirit (Eph. 1:17,18, 5:18; I John 2:20,27). We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God, but that in Adam’s sin the human race fell, inherited a sinful nature, and became alienated from God. Man is totally depraved and, of himself, utterly unable to remedy his lost condition (Gen. 1:26,27; Rom. 3:22,23; 5:12; 6:23; Eph. 2:1,2; 4:17-19). We believe that salvation is the gift of God brought to man by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, whose precious blood was shed on Calvary for the forgiveness of our sins. We believe that all sins, except blasphemy of the Holy Spirit, are forgivable (John 1:12; Eph. 1:7, 2:8-10; I Pet. 1:18,19; Matt. 12:31,32; I John 1:9).

We believe that it is the privilege of believers to rejoice in the assurance of their salvation through the testimony of God’s Word, which however, clearly forbids the use of Christian liberty as an occasion to the flesh (Rom. 13:13,14; Gal. 5:13; Titus 2:11-15). We believe that the local church, which is the body and espoused bride of Christ, is solely made up of born-again persons (I Cor. 12:12-14; II Cor. 11:2; Eph. 1:22-23; 5:25-27). We recognize water baptism and the Lord’s Supper as the Scriptural ordinances of obedience for the church in this age (Matt. 28:19-20; Acts 2:41,42; 18:18; I Cor. 11:23-26). We believe that God has commanded that no intimate s*xual activity be engaged in outside of a marriage between a man and a woman. We believe that any form of homos*xuality, lesbianism, bis*xuality, be******ty, in**st, fornication, adultery, and po*******hy are sinful perversions of God’s gift of s*x. We believe that God disapproves of and forbids any attempt to alter one’s gender by surgery or appearance (Gen. 2:24; 19:5,13; 26:8,9;Lev.18:1-30; Rom. 1:26-29; I Cor. 5:1; 6:9; I Thes. 4:1-8; Heb. 13:4). We believe that the only legitimate marriage is the joining of one man and one woman (Gen. 2:24; Rom. 7:2; I Cor. 7:10; Eph. 5:22,23). This Church, its pastor, staff and members will not participate in same s*x unions or marriages, nor shall its property or resources be used for such purposes. We believe that men and women are spiritually equal in position before God but that God has ordained distinct and separate spiritual functions for men and women in the home and the church. The husband is to be the leader of the home and men are to be the leaders (pastors and trustees) of the church (Gal. 3:28; Col. 3:18; I Tim. 2:8-15; 3:4,5,12). We believe that human life begins at conception and that the unborn child is a living human being. Abortion constitutes the unjustified, unexcused taking of unborn human life. We reject any teaching that abortions of pregnancies due to r**e, in**st, birth defects, gender selection, birth or population control, or the physical or mental well being of the mother are acceptable (Job 3:16; Ps. 51:5; 139:14-16; Isa. 44:42; 49:1; Jer. 1:5; 20:15-18; Luke 1:44). We believe that God has given the church a great commission to proclaim the Gospel to all nations so that there might be a great multitude from every nation, tribe, ethnic group, and language group who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. As ambassadors of Christ we must use all available means to go to the foreign nations and not wait for them to come to us (Matt. 28:19,20; Mark 16:15; Luke 24:46-48; John 20:21; Acts 1:8; II Cor. 5:20). We believe that every Christian, as stewards of that portion of God’s wealth entrusted to him, is obligated to support his local church financially. We believe that God has established the tithes as a basis for giving, but that every Christian should also give other offerings sacrificially and cheerfully to the support of the church, the relief of those in need, and the spread of the Gospel. We believe that a Christian relinquishes all rights to direct the use of tithe or offering once the gift has been made (Gen. 14:20; Pro. 3:9,10; Acts 4:34-37; I Cor. 16:2; II Cor. 9:6; Gal. 6:6; Eph. 4:28; I Tim. 5:17,18; I John 3:17).

Forgiveness Is Not Easy - But It Is Necessary Pt. 2
The other day I mentioned that, as born-again believers in Christ, we are called to extend grace and forgiveness just as we have been forgiving by God for our own sins. We all have sinned and come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23).
The Bible says, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
This verse emphasizes the importance of confessing our sins to God. When we admit to God the wrongs we have committed, He is faithful and just in forgiving us and cleansing us from all unrighteousness. It is through confession and repentance that we can be cleansed from the darkness of sin and restored into a right relationship with God.
In Matthew 6:12, Jesus in teaching His disciples to pray says, “And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.” This verse is a part of the Lord’s prayer and it teaches us to ask God for forgiveness in the same way that we are willing to forgive those who have wronged us. By extending forgiveness to others, we show that we understand and except God’s forgiveness of our own sins.
Holding on to anger and resentment towards someone can be harmful to our own hearts and minds.
As Christians, it is important to strive for reconciliation and forgiveness in all aspects of life.
Matthew 18:21 says, “Then came Peter to him (Jesus), and said, "Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?" Jesus saith unto him, “I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.”
Peter asks Jesus how many times he should forgive someone who wrongs him. Jesus replies that there is no limit to forgiveness and that we should always be willing to forgive other just as God continually forgives us.
Lord, thank you for your continually forgiveness of my sins.

Forgiveness Is Not Easy - But Is Necessary
As Christians, one of the most important things we learn is how to forgive. Forgiveness is not easy but is necessary if we want to have a relationship with God. Ephesians 4:32 says, "And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.” This verse urges believers to show kindness and forgiveness towards others, just as God has freely forgiven us through the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ.
We are called to let go of grudges and extend grace and understanding to those who may have wronged us. This can be difficult, but we must remember that we too are sinners who have been forgiven by God. By practicing forgiveness, we can encourage peace and unity within the body of Christ.
Jesus said, "And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses" (Mrk. 11:25-26). In order for us to experience forgiveness from God, we must also be willing to forgive those who have wronged us. Holding on to anger and resentment hinders our prayers and relationship with the Lord.
As born-again believers in Christ, we are called to extend grace and forgiveness just as we have been forgiving by God for our own sins. More to come.

Worship In the Church
True worship is something that is missing in many of our churches today. For the Lord to be properly glorified, praise must be restored in our worship service.

Beyond Expectations
Acts 3:4-5 - And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us. 5 And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.
The lame man got up that morning expecting it to be a normal day of begging alms at the Temple gate. His focus was on what he thought was his greatest need – daily provisions.
In verse three, we know that he was aware of the presence of Peter and John and even asked alms of them. Soon, his expectation was greatly exceeded and to an extent unimaginable to him. But it was only after he responded to Peter’s words of “Look on us.”
In the wilderness, all the people were aware of the brass serpent set upon a pole. But it was only those who looked upon it that received the healing promised by God. Numbers 21:8 - And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live.
As believers, we may be aware of the presence of God, but our focus also needs to be looking for what God is doing for us. It is by looking that we, like the lame man, will see the unexpected and exceeding great provisions of God. For He best knows what our needs are.
Acts 3:8 - And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.
No longer was the lame man confined to sit outside the Temple gate. He entered the Temple with Peter and John walking and leaping upon feet which had never stood. What he received was beyond his expectation and he gave praise to the One to Whom praise was due – God Almighty!
What might we be missing because we are not looking?

The Lord Helps His Children
Psalm 46:1 - God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Life can bring moments when we feel overwhelmed, uncertain, or even afraid. There are times when we do not know what to do or where to turn. But as children of God, we are never without help. The Lord cares for His children, and He promises to be with us every step of the way.
Notice the words “very present help.” God is not distant when we are hurting nor absent when we are struggling. He is present and ready to help.
Sometimes the Lord helps us by changing our circumstances. Other times, He gives us strength to endure circumstances that do not immediately change. He may provide an answer, open a door, send someone to encourage us, or simply give us peace when we cannot understand what is happening.
Isaiah 41:10 - Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee….
What a wonderful promise! God does not merely tell us to be strong—He says that He will strengthen us. He does not simply tell us to figure everything out—He says, "I will help thee."
When Peter stepped out of the boat and began walking on the water, he became afraid when he looked at the storm. But when he cried, "Lord, save me," Jesus immediately reached out His hand and caught him (Matthew 14:30-31).
The same Lord who helped Peter is still helping His children today. You may be facing something that seems too difficult to handle. You may not know what tomorrow will bring.
Remember this—you do not have to face it alone. The Lord knows your need, He sees your struggle, and He is faithful to help His children. Trust Him, seek Him, and keep walking by faith.
Psalm 118:6 - The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?

The Results of Rejecting God
Romans 1:21-22 - "Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,"
Romans chapter one gives the downward progression of a society that loses its mind. When people reject God, they get worse, not better – they do not rise, they fall – they are not becoming enlightened, they are descending into darkness – they are not wise, they are foolish.
Their heart was darkened, “…Neither were thankful. “ Ingratitude is a rejection of God’s rightful place and is the first step to wickedness. It moves the heart from holiness to evil. Ingratitude is natural and breeds pride. Gratitude is a discipline not a feeling. The natural man loves the gift more than the giver.
The mind is always being shaped either by God or by the world. If Scripture is not shaping your mind, something else is—social media, music, or anyone with a podcast.
Then comes boasting. Their minds become so open that their brains fall out. Truth that does not confront is compromise. Truth convicts, confronts, and is constant.
The false worship is the final sign of cultural decline. When society worships the creation more than the Creator, the last step has been taken. Our modern idols are not carved, they are chosen. The world’s idols demand sacrifices of time, talents, and treasures. In our day materialism has done to the church what the lions of Rome could never do. We have sacrificed integrity, purity, and our families on the altar of materialism.
I am deeply concerned that we are losing our culture, our country, and our churches. But one thing that does not concern me is the soon coming of our Lord Jesus Christ! He is coming, and when he does, He will begin the process to restore the world back as He created it. Don’t trade the trinkets of this world for the truth.

Love Is a Person
1 John 4:8 - He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
If anyone knew God being love, it was John, the Apostle of Love. His heart was so tender towards the Lord Jesus, Who is the Incarnation of Love.
Jesus told Philip in John 14:9, “...he that hath seen Me hath seen the Father….” Christ came to reveal the warm and caring nature of God to us.
The gods of this world demand unthinkable sacrifices of blood, demanding even children to appease their lusts. Hindus are cast into a never-ending cycle of reincarnation, searching for spiritual attainment. Grecian gods leave man in dismay at the unpredictable twists and turns of life. The unloving, angry god of Islam calls for murder of any who will not bow to him.
The true and living Jehovah God certainly does judge sin. But He does so with a “broken heart.” Psalm 145:8-9 - The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy. 9 The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.
God does not just HAVE love for you, but He IS love toward you. As a Person, He is after your heart. He wants an abiding relationship with you. And when guilt, shame, and fear cause you to doubt that, just look into the face of the Lord Jesus as found in the Scriptures (especially John’s writings), and you will see that He has not changed.
Charles Spurgeon wrote, “Never let it be thought that any sinner is beyond the reach of divine mercy so long as he is in the land of the living. I stand here to preach illimitable love, unbounded grace, to the vilest of the vile, to those who have nothing in them that can deserve consideration from God, men who ought to be swept into the bottomless pit at once if justice meted out to them their deserts.”
May our lives reflect the loving Person of the Lord Jesus.

A Unified Church Glorifies God
1 Corinthians 12:18 - But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.
All of us at one time or another have felt less gifted or not as talented as others in our church. Such feelings are false and untrue. The body is not one significant member, but many members. Every person who truly belongs to the body of Christ (the church) is significant and important to God and has a gift and function in the body.
When I listen to the choir sing, my heart is truly blessed as I listen. They join in one powerful voice to praise and glorify God. While you may not feel gifted to sing in a choir, you may be gifted to serve in some other area. We are all on the same team.
We all have different gifts and talents from the Lord that we are to use for His honor and glory. What a joy it is to see Christians working together, blending their talents together to glorify God. That kind of unity brings honor and glory to God. Don’t worry about the talent that someone else has; we are all in the same “Choir” and glorifying the same Lord.

What If You Lost Everything?
Habakkuk 3:17-18 - "Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: 18 Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation."
What if you lost everything? What if the house was gone, the money was gone, the possessions were gone, and the things you worked so hard for were suddenly taken away? What would you have left?
Habakkuk gives us a powerful answer. He imagined a situation where there was no harvest, no livestock, and no visible evidence of prosperity. Still he said, “Yet I will rejoice in the LORD.”
So the question is, why? The answer is because his joy was not dependent upon what he possessed. His joy was dependent upon Who possessed him.
Everything we have in this life is temporary. Jobs can disappear. Money can be lost. Possessions can break. Even our earthly relationships will eventually come to an end. But God does not change.
Job experienced unimaginable loss. He lost his possessions, his children, and his health. Yet he said assuredly: Job 1:21 ...the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.
That kind of faith does not come from having everything. It comes from knowing that God is enough when everything else is gone. You see, if God is your salvation, your hope, and your refuge, then you can face the loss of earthly things without losing your eternal treasure.
So ask yourself today: If everything I have was gone tomorrow, would Jesus still be enough?
He should be because when everything else is taken away, we still have the Lord.
