Walking Behind the Lord Ministries

Walking Behind the Lord Ministries Encouraging others to trust in the Lord with all their hearts, and to follow in the Lord's footsteps.

This ministry is based off Proverbs 3:5-6 5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Acknowledging a closed canon means accepting the idea that God has already revealed everything His children need to know. It also means that everything He has revealed in the Scriptures is divinely inspired. Nothing should be added, and nothing ought to be taken away or ignored.

A closed canon doesn’t mean God has ceased to reveal Himself to people today but that there will be no new revelation of truth outside of what He has already revealed in the Bible to the church. God has placed in the closed canon of Scripture everything we need to know about Himself, and about who we are, how we ought to live, and what will happen in the future (see 2 Peter 1:3).

Psalm 46:1 and 10-11 "1God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. 10Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. 11The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah." Have A Great Day!!!!!!

In many cases individual feelings and personal experience have replaced sound biblical interpretation. The question “What does the Bible mean to me?” has become more important than “What does the Bible mean?” That is a frightfully reckless approach to Scripture. It undermines biblical integrity and authority by implying that personal experience is to be sought more than an understanding of Scripture.

The other night, my wife’s back was hurting her really badly. She had a Laminectomy, which was an operation on her L4, L5, and S1 in January. She is still recovering and doing well, but she must have done too much that day. And about 1:15AM, I could hear my Bride crying from the pain she was in. I get up and ask my wife what I can do to help you? I ask her, "Do you want me to get some Lidoderm Patches to put on your back?" She said yes, and I did. After I put patches on her back, I massaged her back and feet for over an hour until she started to feel better. By the time I was done, it was a little after 2:30AM. My wife appreciated what I did, and she thanked me so much the next day. We know we have each other, and we understand that our love requires us to be sacrificial. Some of you who say that they do not want marriage, cannot guarantee that you will not get sick or injured. If that happens, you want someone by your side who can help you. I love this woman and she loves me. We are NOT meant to do this life alone. I am glad that we get to do life together. Be encouraged, and God Bless.

If God can forgive the Ninevites and their wickedness. He can forgive anyone. No one is too evil that they can not be saved. If the most vile and evil person put faith in Jesus and trust Him. Jesus WILL save them.❤️✝️🙏😇

The late Pastor, Pastor John MacArthur, said, “Men, no matter how good a woman looks, she will get old.” The reality is that it happens to all of us. My wife and I are both 51, and we do not try to compete with our 20-something selves. We know we do not look as good as we did in our 20s, and that is okay. Your looks will fade over time. In 30 years of marriage, we have been through many medical trials, where we had to wipe each other's behinds because we were injured and recovering from surgery and very sick. One of the vows we make is in sickness and in health. I know some of you do not desire to get married, and that is okay. However, you can’t guarantee you'll never get sick or injured. And if that happens, you want a person whom you choose to do life together by your side. I am so thankful that my wife has always been by my side, and I have always been by hers. Be Encouraged and God Bless!

As a Retired Army Chaplain who has taught numerous marriage and single retreats and has done thousands of hours of counseling of Soldiers and their families, I see so much nonsense spewed by men and women on these Podcasts about relationships and marriage. Many of these people have never been married but have managed to gain a huge following, which makes them think they know what they are talking about. They don’t! It is no wonder that many of their followers are not married. Anytime I point out flaws in what they are saying. These people want to argue with me. Why? Because their unmarried followers agree with them, it gives them credibility, as if they know what they are talking about. Forget that I have been married to my college sweetheart for 30 years. These people know more about marriage and relationships than I do. But many of them are not married or in a relationship. Make it make sense. 🤷🏾

Nebuchadnezzar's Dream
2 In the second year of the reign of Nebuchadnezzar, Nebuchadnezzar had dreams; his spirit was troubled, and his sleep left him. 2 Then the king commanded that the magicians, the enchanters, the sorcerers, and the Chaldeans be summoned to tell the king his dreams. So they came in and stood before the king. 3 And the king said to them, “I had a dream, and my spirit is troubled to know the dream.” 4 Then the Chaldeans said to the king in Aramaic,[a] “O king, live forever! Tell your servants the dream, and we will show the interpretation.” 5 The king answered and said to the Chaldeans, “The word from me is firm: if you do not make known to me the dream and its interpretation, you shall be torn limb from limb, and your houses shall be laid in ruins. 6 But if you show the dream and its interpretation, you shall receive from me gifts and rewards and great honor. Therefore show me the dream and its interpretation.” 7 They answered a second time and said, “Let the king tell his servants the dream, and we will show its interpretation.” 8 The king answered and said, “I know with certainty that you are trying to gain time, because you see that the word from me is firm— 9 if you do not make the dream known to me, there is but one sentence for you. You have agreed to speak lying and corrupt words before me till the times change. Therefore tell me the dream, and I shall know that you can show me its interpretation.” 10 The Chaldeans answered the king and said, “There is not a man on earth who can meet the king's demand, for no great and powerful king has asked such a thing of any magician or enchanter or Chaldean. 11 The thing that the king asks is difficult, and no one can show it to the king except the gods, whose dwelling is not with flesh.”

Back story and context: The nation of Babylon invaded the Nation of Israel, the Southern Kingdom of Judah and captured Jerusalem around 600 BC. This was the first time that Jerusalem had fallen to a foreign invader since King David established Jerusalem as Israel's capital. Babylon attacked three times and each time, they took of more of Jerusalem captive. Nebuchadnezzar, was able to succeed where others had failed is because God allowed it. Nebuchadnezzar doesn’t know his political aspirations is being used by God. God moves nations and creates outcomes according to His Will. God makes this aware to King Necuchadnezzar by using a young man, named Daniel to interpret the King’s Dream.
