Join us for these events on Easter Sunday!

April 5, 7:00 a.m. Community Sunrise Service at Fort Hill Memorial Park (5196 Fort Avenue, Lynchburg). We will gather at the cross in the Garden of Crucifixion for the first service of Easter. If it rains, we will use the mausoleum beside the Garden. Please bring your own portable chair. Jointly sponsored by some of our Lynchburg Area United Methodist Churches.

8:30 a.m. Join us for our Annual Easter Breakfast in the church Fellowship
Hall. Please come and bring friends and family with you! Our church family is
encouraged to sign up to bring breakfast foods by calling the church office or using the posted sign-up sheets.

10:30 a.m. Resurrection Celebration in Worship
Let us rejoice! Christ is risen! Alleluia! The congregation may bring fresh flowers to decorate the Living Cross.

Join others in small groups for this special opportunity to enrich your Holy Week observance! Begin at the front of the church and visit prayer stations set up throughout the building. Groups will begin every 15 minutes continually throughout the time. The amount of time needed to complete the experience depends on how long you choose to spend at each station. Come and go as you are able.

Hi everyone! This year we will making the traditional Lenten observance of the imposition of ashes more accessible and visible to our community. The Worship Team will provide the imposition of ashes and a prayer in the church parking lot between 12:00pm and 1:00. In case of inclement weather, we will move to the porch/Narthex area in front of the church.

Our traditional Ash Wednesday worship service will be held at 6:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary and will include Scripture readings, hymns, a meditation and the imposition of ashes as well. We hope to see you there!

Join us for our Christmas Eve Service of Holy Communion in the church sanctuary beginning at 5:00 p.m. on December 24.

This service will include a service of lights as we remember the coming light of Christ into the world this Christmas!

During the busyness and noise of the holiday season, many people experience a disconnect with “seasonal merriment” because of recent losses, grief, illness, loneliness or changing family circumstances that make it more difficult to celebrate the season. Join us for a sacred time of quiet meditation, prayer, scripture reading and remembrance. Participants are invited to bring a photo, or a special remembrance, of a loved one to place on the memory table. All are welcome!

Join us in worship as the Sanctuary Choir presents their annual Christmas cantata on Sunday, December 21, during the 10:30 worship time!

This year’s cantata is titled “Come to the Manger,” written and arranged by Mark Hayes. The cantata begins with a visit to the humble manger in Bethlehem, along with the shepherds, to worship the Christ Child. The second half celebrates the gift of God’s Son with the magi. And finally, a joyous conclusion of people shouting the glad good news throughout the world that Jesus Christ is born! So, come hear the Christmas story told in song.
