It's not over! He's still alive!

Today is Easter Monday…
The same power
that walked out of that tomb
is still moving

Still saving
Still healing
Still calling people by name

Still calling you

Easter didn’t end yesterday

The miracle didn’t stay in the tomb

It followed us into today

Into this moment
Into your life
Into every place that feels heavy or uncertain

The grave is still empty
and the world is forever changed
because of it.

Yesterday was loud.

Celebration
Hope
He is risen

But today…

Today is quiet.

The kind of quiet where it sinks in
what that really means.

That death didn’t just lose once
it was defeated.

That the grave didn’t just open
it was overcome.

That Jesus didn’t just rise
He is alive.

And because He lives…

This isn’t just a story we visit once a year
This is a truth we live inside of every single day

On the ordinary Mondays
In the quiet mornings
In the middle of laundry and mess and life

Because the stone didn’t roll back
so He could get out

It rolled back
so we could see in

And what we saw…

was an empty grave
and a living Savior

So today—

Live like it’s true

Because it is 🤍

John 20:1-18 NKJV
[1] Now on the first day of the week Mary Magdalene went to the tomb early, while it was still dark, and saw that the stone had been taken away from the tomb. [2] Then she ran and came to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and said to them, “They have taken away the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid Him.” [3] Peter therefore went out, and the other disciple, and were going to the tomb. [4] So they both ran together, and the other disciple outran Peter and came to the tomb first. [5] And he, stooping down and looking in, saw the linen cloths lying there; yet he did not go in. [6] Then Simon Peter came, following him, and went into the tomb; and he saw the linen cloths lying there, [7] and the handkerchief that had been around His head, not lying with the linen cloths, but folded together in a place by itself. [8] Then the other disciple, who came to the tomb first, went in also; and he saw and believed. [9] For as yet they did not know the Scripture, that He must rise again from the dead. [10] Then the disciples went away again to their own homes. [11] But Mary stood outside by the tomb weeping, and as she wept she stooped down and looked into the tomb. [12] And she saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain. [13] Then they said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping?” She said to them, “Because they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid Him.” [14] Now when she had said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, and did not know that it was Jesus. [15] Jesus said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking?” She, supposing Him to be the gardener, said to Him, “Sir, if You have carried Him away, tell me where You have laid Him, and I will take Him away.” [16] Jesus said to her, “Mary!” She turned and said to Him, “Rabboni!” (which is to say, Teacher). [17] Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’ ” [18] Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that He had spoken these things to her.

I Corinthians 5:7-8 NKJV
[7] Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us. [8] Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

Matthew 28:5-7 NKJV
[5] But the angel answered and said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. [6] He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. [7] And go quickly and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead, and indeed He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him. Behold, I have told you.”

Matthew 27:57-66 NKJV
[57] Now when evening had come, there came a rich man from Arimathea, named Joseph, who himself had also become a disciple of Jesus. [58] This man went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded the body to be given to him. [59] When Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, [60] and laid it in his new tomb which he had hewn out of the rock; and he rolled a large stone against the door of the tomb, and departed. [61] And Mary Magdalene was there, and the other Mary, sitting opposite the tomb. [62] On the next day, which followed the Day of Preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees gathered together to Pilate, [63] saying, “Sir, we remember, while He was still alive, how that deceiver said, ‘After three days I will rise.’ [64] Therefore command that the tomb be made secure until the third day, lest His disciples come by night and steal Him away, and say to the people, ‘He has risen from the dead.’ So the last deception will be worse than the first.” [65] Pilate said to them, “You have a guard; go your way, make it as secure as you know how.” [66] So they went and made the tomb secure, sealing the stone and setting the guard.

I Peter 3:18-20 NKJV
[18] For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit, [19] by whom also He went and preached to the spirits in prison, [20] who formerly were disobedient, when once the Divine longsuffering waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water.

This is not the complete story. Please read John chapters 18-19 in completion. Here are some excerpts.

John 18:13, 33-40 NKJV
[13] And they led Him away to Annas first, for he was the father-in-law of Caiaphas who was high priest that year.
[33] Then Pilate entered the Praetorium again, called Jesus, and said to Him, “Are You the King of the Jews?” [34] Jesus answered him, “Are you speaking for yourself about this, or did others tell you this concerning Me?” [35] Pilate answered, “Am I a Jew? Your own nation and the chief priests have delivered You to me. What have You done?” [36] Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here.” [37] Pilate therefore said to Him, “Are You a king then?” Jesus answered, “You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.” [38] Pilate said to Him, “What is truth?” And when he had said this, he went out again to the Jews, and said to them, “I find no fault in Him at all. [39] “But you have a custom that I should release someone to you at the Passover. Do you therefore want me to release to you the King of the Jews?” [40] Then they all cried again, saying, “Not this Man, but Barabbas!” Now Barabbas was a robber.
John 19:1-16 NKJV
[1] So then Pilate took Jesus and scourged Him. [2] And the soldiers twisted a crown of thorns and put it on His head, and they put on Him a purple robe. [3] Then they said, “Hail, King of the Jews!” And they struck Him with their hands. [4] Pilate then went out again, and said to them, “Behold, I am bringing Him out to you, that you may know that I find no fault in Him.” [5] Then Jesus came out, wearing the crown of thorns and the purple robe. And Pilate said to them, “Behold the Man!” [6] Therefore, when the chief priests and officers saw Him, they cried out, saying, “Crucify Him, crucify Him!” Pilate said to them, “You take Him and crucify Him, for I find no fault in Him.” [7] The Jews answered him, “We have a law, and according to our law He ought to die, because He made Himself the Son of God.” [8] Therefore, when Pilate heard that saying, he was the more afraid, [9] and went again into the Praetorium, and said to Jesus, “Where are You from?” But Jesus gave him no answer. [10] Then Pilate said to Him, “Are You not speaking to me? Do You not know that I have power to crucify You, and power to release You?” [11] Jesus answered, “You could have no power at all against Me unless it had been given you from above. Therefore the one who delivered Me to you has the greater sin.” [12] From then on Pilate sought to release Him, but the Jews cried out, saying, “If you let this Man go, you are not Caesar’s friend. Whoever makes himself a king speaks against Caesar.” [13] When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he brought Jesus out and sat down in the judgment seat in a place that is called The Pavement, but in Hebrew, Gabbatha. [14] Now it was the Preparation Day of the Passover, and about the sixth hour. And he said to the Jews, “Behold your King!” [15] But they cried out, “Away with Him, away with Him! Crucify Him!” Pilate said to them, “Shall I crucify your King?” The chief priests answered, “We have no king but Caesar!” [16] Then he delivered Him to them to be crucified. So they took Jesus and led Him away.

John 19:17-22, 28-30 NKJV
[17] And He, bearing His cross, went out to a place called the Place of a Skull, which is called in Hebrew, Golgotha, [18] where they crucified Him, and two others with Him, one on either side, and Jesus in the center. [19] Now Pilate wrote a title and put it on the cross. And the writing was: JESUS OF NAZARETH, THE KING OF THE JEWS. [20] Then many of the Jews read this title, for the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city; and it was written in Hebrew, Greek, and Latin. [21] Therefore the chief priests of the Jews said to Pilate, “Do not write, ‘The King of the Jews,’ but, ‘He said, “I am the King of the Jews.” ’ ” [22] Pilate answered, “What I have written, I have written.”
[28] After this, Jesus, knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, “I thirst!” [29] Now a vessel full of sour wine was sitting there; and they filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on hyssop, and put it to His mouth. [30] So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.
