Last Sunday was a fantastic day of hosting college students for worship, community groups, and a cookout at JJ's Park. There were 60+ college students and 20+ other adults participating. Thank you John Kramer and Annmarie Kramer for cooking!

Melissa & I want to thank Chris Jordan, CJ Williams and West Lynchburg Baptist Church for the special recognition they gave us in the worship service this morning, in celebration of our 15 years of starting and leading the WLBC College Ministries.

Each of our college students, past & present have been a huge part of our lives and family over the past 15 years. It has been a tremendous experience where we have been blessed to lead this wonderful group of students, that will always be cherished.

As we move forward, please welcome Nic & Klaire Thomason who step in as leaders of the WLBC College Ministry starting today. We wish Nic & Klaire all the best and know they’ll do a great job leading this ministry.

Hello everyone! We hope you all are having a great summer and you’re excited to start a new school (or work) year full of new and exciting opportunities.

One of the tough things is knowing “when to say when” or “when it’s time” to move to a new season of life. Ecclesiastes 3: 1-11 speaks of the seasons in our lives.

After much prayer and consideration; we had a conversation with a WLBC staff member this week and decided it’s time to move on from this season of our lives. Therefore, we’re (graduating) resigning and stepping down as the WLBC College Ministry leaders & Sunday School teachers.

It’s been an incredible “many years” journey for us, where we’ve been blessed to lead many awesome Christian college students, for whom we’ve loved each one of you as a member of our own family.

We had Big Dreams for the WLBC College Ministry when we started it many years ago, yet as Moses with the Israelites; God has allowed us to take it to the thriving group it is now. However, we believe there is a younger, very energetic couple who God will choose (a Joshua) who will take our College Ministry to new heights.

We are proud and love each one of you from our first students, who are well into their careers and many of whom are parents, through our most recent students who are currently in college.

It was a blessing and our pleasure to lead your class through this season of our lives. We hope you have gained as much from us, as we have from each of you.

We pray for the best for each of you as you traverse the seasons of your lives.
