Churches for Urban Ministry has a variety of programs that we offer to children, youth and families in the inner city of Lynchburg, Virginia, including Camp Timothy, a Community Food Pantry, Families in Need Program, 2nd Timothy Afterschool Program, Training Young Men Successfully, Timothy Traveling Choir and special programs including a Christmas presentation.

My, My, My!!!! God showed up again tonight at Eighth Street Baptist Church!!!! We had TWO powerful preachers in the house tonight!!! Pastor Tony Cousins, from Morning Star Baptist Church in Appomattox, Va preached, "Because He Said So!" And then, Pastor Byron Elliott from Jericho Missionary Baptist Free Church preached, "Hearing From Heaven In A Hurricane!" Thank you Morning Star Choir and Jericho Free Church Praise Team for the great musical selections that put us in the presence of the Lord!!! Thank you both Pastor Cousins and Pastor Elliott for the Word tonight!!! TGBTG!!!

He preached, "I've Got Good News To Tell You About The Lord!" Thank you Pastor Thomas for the Word!
