It's been very special to receive Christmas and Birthday cards, wishes and calls these past several weeks. Many came from friends we don't have a lot of contact with throughout the year. We have been asked "how are you doing?" So, we thought this would be a good time to answer that question.
This past year I have been diagnosed with a neurodegenerative disorder. MSA (multi-system atrophy) is a rare disease that has no cure and currently there is no treatment to slow its progression. We are doing as we always should - living one day at a time and praying that we will "finish well". If the Lord brings us to your mind, we would ask that you join us in our prayer.
1 Corinthians 4:16-18 "So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are eternal. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal."
