Last Thursday marked TEN YEARS of faithful leadership here at First Pres by Rev. Dr. Peter Thompson and his family! Immerse Bible Study brought in a delicious feast to celebrate and we wanted to take this moment to look back on some memories from the past decade of Peter's work, sacrifice, and generous spirit as Senior Pastor at First Presbyterian Church of Lynchburg. As staff we have a great appreciation for everything he does in the pulpit and behind the scenes, around the clock and often without recognition. As Peter would say, "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!"

A transplant from the Philadelphia area, Sue has her feet firmly in Southern soil. But NOT her sports allegiances! She bleeds green and is an avid Philadelphia Eagles Fan! Sue is a mother of two and a grandmother of five - four girls and a boy. She worked for Lynchburg City Schools for 32 years and is happily and busily retired. She is a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church and probably the longest member of the choir!
