If you have attended Compassion and have questions about our smaller group options, please let us know. We would love to help you find one! Serving both (God & others) is a vital part of a disciple's life. When we serve other people, we are literally serving God (Matt 25:40). Compassion is committed to providing opportunities for people to serve, responding through the love they have for God and others. Looking for a place to plug in and make a difference this weekend? We’ve got two great ways to serve our community this Saturday, August 22nd, and there’s a spot for everyone!

1: Grounds Work Day (8:00 AM – 12:00 PM) Help us spruce up the property! Grab some gloves and a smile, and we’ll take care of the rest—including a FREE Chick-fil-A lunch for everyone who helps out.

2: Block Party Canvassing (9:30 AM) Help us spread the word! Meet at Compassion at 9:30 AM for a free breakfast and brief instructions before heading out into the Lynchburg community to invite our neighbors to the upcoming block party.

Join us TONIGHT for our Compassion Family Dinner @ 5:30 PM! The church will provide fried chicken, and we ask those who are able to bring a dessert or any kind of salad (such as pasta, potato, or green leaf) to share. We will plan to eat inside and enjoy an evening of fellowship, food, and fun. We hope to see you there!

Our hearts are heavy as we hear about the tremendous hardship our brothers and sisters in Venezuela are facing following the recent devastating earthquake. As the Church of the Nazarene, we are a global family, and we have an immediate opportunity to respond with the love and compassion of Christ.

One hundred percent of all donations made through the QR code in this graphic will go directly to Nazarene Compassionate Ministries to fund immediate crisis relief and recovery efforts on the ground.

The global office asks that we also join in fervent prayer. Please pray for the families who have lost loved ones, homes, and livelihoods, as well as for the safety and strength of our Nazarene leaders and first responders serving on the front lines of this crisis.
