Juneteenth: Celebrating Freedom and Faith

“So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” — John 8:36

As we celebrate Juneteenth, we remember the joy of freedom and the faith of those who trusted God through seasons of struggle and uncertainty. Juneteenth reminds us that while freedom may be delayed, God’s promises are never denied.

Just as God delivered His people from bo***ge in Egypt, He continues to be a God of liberation, hope, and restoration. We honor the sacrifices of those who came before us, celebrate the progress that has been made, and commit ourselves to walking in love, justice, and unity.

True freedom is found not only in earthly emancipation, but in the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Through Him, we are set free from sin, fear, and despair, and empowered to live lives of purpose and hope.

May this Juneteenth be a reminder that God is faithful, His promises are sure, and His people can rejoice in the freedom He provides.

“Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” — 2 Corinthians 3:17

What an incredible VBS 2026! Trinity, Mayfield Chapel Baptist Church, and Travelers Rest Missionary Baptist Church united to bring forth Emerald Crossing, an exploration of Psalm 23's transformative power. Gratitude abounds to our leaders, teachers, volunteers, and especially our young participants. We're already looking forward to the next journey at Travelers Rest in 2027!
