Prayer isn't about charging up your spiritual power bank ⚡ It's about a relationship with God, not checking boxes or collecting power-ups. When we focus on God instead of what we can get, everything changes 🙏 Clip from the message "Real Faith"

What Does Real Faith Look Like? Lessons from the Disciples' Failed Miracle-

When Jesus came down from the mountain after His transfiguration, He encountered a desperate father whose demon-possessed son needed healing. The father had already approached Jesus' disciples for help, but they couldn't cast out the demon. This failure, despite their previous success with similar s...

🛡"Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life." Proverbs 4:23

💔In Matthew 15, Jesus challenges us to have a heart check-up. A weak physical heart will give us problems, and a spiritually weak heart will cause us issues. Events and people don't make us sin- that comes from within.

✝But through faith in Jesus, there is a cure!

This week at Crossover we looked at Matthew 15, where Jesus confronts the Pharisees for treating their own traditions as if they were God’s commands. Jesus makes it clear that no human rule, habit, or religious activity should ever override what God has actually said. The core message was simple but challenging: we are called to do God’s will, God’s way.

1. Glorifying God Through Talents

Fine Arts competitions are about using God-given gifts to honor Him.

Whether singing, acting, playing an instrument, or visual arts, the student is learning to serve God with excellence (1 Corinthians 10:31).

2. Spiritual Growth

Preparing for Fine Arts requires discipline, focus, and prayer, which strengthens character.

Students often experience personal encounters with God through worship, Scripture, and creative expression.

3. Building Confidence in Ministry

Performing or presenting in front of others teaches students to lead in a God-honoring way.

It prepares them for future ministry, whether on stage, teaching, or in any leadership role.

4. Community and Fellowship

Fine Arts competitions bring students from different churches together.

They build friendships with like-minded peers and mentors who share a passion for serving God.

5. Recognition of Excellence

The competition encourages students to strive for their best, learning discipline and perseverance.

Awards and honors validate hard work and dedication while pointing it back to God’s glory, not personal fame.

6. Developing Leadership Skills

Participating often requires teamwork, organization, and mentoring others.

Students practice leadership in a faith-based environment, which is useful for church youth groups and beyond.

7. Fun and Engaging

Let’s not forget—it’s fun! Students get to perform, compete, and showcase their talents in an exciting environment, all while keeping God at the center.

Bottom line: Assemblies of God Fine Arts isn’t just about winning a medal—it’s about using your God-given talents to grow spiritually, serve others, and honor God with excellence.

Life often throws storms we don’t expect. The disciples faced one on a familiar lake, exhausted, terrified, an d stuck in waves they couldn’t control. Then Jesus appeared—walking on the water—and said,

“Don’t be afraid. Take courage. I am here.”

Faith isn’t pretending everything is fine. It’s trusting God’s truth even when the storm rages. Like Peter, when we fix our eyes on Jesus, we can step out in faith—sometimes literally—and do the impossible.

Sometimes, you just have to faith it till you make it.
