I HATE being peer pressured into doing good things for foster kids. 😤💛 It always starts the same way — a text from a friend, an innocent "hey girl!", and suddenly I'm agreeing to spend my Saturday morning at the Foster Closet finding fall outfits for the kids. And somehow every single time, I leave feeling like I got the better end of the deal. If you've never experienced this particular brand of peer pressure, consider this your official invitation. Today we're remembering Dolly Parton — a woman whose glittering career was matched only by the size of her heart. Through her Imagination Library, she sent a free book to children every single month from birth to age five, believing that every child, no matter where they came from, deserved the chance to dream big. That belief — that a child's circumstances shouldn't determine their future — is exactly what drives everything we do at WFFCS, from our Foster Closet to our Food Pantry to every family we support. Her legacy of generosity lives on in every kid who gets a little more than they started with. Rest easy, Dolly — thank you for showing the world what real giving looks like.
