Garden Of Eden Church

Garden Of Eden Church We are a non-denominational Christian nudist/naturist church seeking to grow in knowledge of God's Word and apply it to our lives. He descended to the dead.

We are a mainstream non-denominational Christian church which follows the Apostles Creed. I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
the Creator of heaven and earth,
and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord;
Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried. The third day he arose again from the dead. He ascended into h

eaven,
and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty,
whence he shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy universal Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen. Jesus died for you to pay the price for your sins, to reconcile you to Him, and to show His great love for you. His death is God's plan for your salvation. "All have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." -Romans 3:23
This sin has resulted in our alienation from God, but God wants a close and intimate relationship with you. "Behold, I stand at the door and knock: if any man hears my voice, and opens the door, I will come to him, and will eat with him, and he with me." -Revelations 3:20. You are invited. If you have not yet received Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we invite you to do so now in the quietness of your heart. "As many as received Him, to them He gave power to become the sons of God, even to them who believe on His name." -John 1:12
We invite you to join the family of God in the practice of baptism. Please visit us or a local church to plan for your baptism, and continue in fellowship and study of God's Word. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." -John 3:16

A regular here at the GOE Church just posted this on her wall and we just had to share!

“If you went for a walk in the woods, but then decided to wander off the path, and found yourself surrounded by a thicket of thorns and poison ivy, who would you blame? Would you blame the person who built the path? No, of course not. Instead you’d blame yourself if you were honest, because you alone were responsible for wandering from the path. In a far deeper way, this is what happens when we decide to leave God out of our lives. For a time, it may seem like wandering away from Him doesn’t make any difference; it may even seem easier and freer. But eventually it catches up with us—just as wandering off that path and into the thicket caught up with you.” —Billy Graham

Brings to mind Matthew 7:13-14 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it."

So much depends on choosing the right path through life. It is rarely the popular path but it is always the path that brings you closer to God and living a Christlike life.

All Christians have an obligation to be students of truth. In fact, we are called to develop a love affair with the truth. It is ultimately truth, not knowledge or skill, that really sets us free and makes us wholly creative. Truth is a strong word. There is something almost numinous about it. We should not speak of it lightly or casually.

Knowledge is quite different. It is something we can gain, something we can control, and something we can use. Knowledge, when we gain control of it, becomes ours, and we profit from the acquisition of it. Truth is another matter. Truth should gain and control us instead of being controlled by us. There is an element of unrelenting moral demand in truth; it is other-centered. It matters not whether we have mastered truth and can use it; it matters only whether we have surrendered to truth and are willing to obey it.

Most organized churches believe this mantra—“More Clothes = Less Sin”—even though we all know this doesn’t work. We are told to dress modestly, but like all sin, immodestly is a state of mind, not a state of dress. True modesty comes from within, not from the clothes or jewelry we wear.

In cultures where nudity was common and sexual sin rare, missionaries brought this mantra with them and introduced the concept that the naked human body was sinful. The result? Sexual sin became more prevalent. Throughout history there is a vast amount of evidence to show that in our fallen world humans tend to sexually objectify whatever parts of the body society requires to be covered.

Once this is done entire industries then arise that create unattainable fantasy images to promote a multi-billion-dollar industry to alter, shape, adorn or expose to achieve and/or objectify that false image while at the same time denigrating the reality of human diversity evident in our God given, unaltered, physical appearance. The end result is that billions of humans have been indoctrinated to hate their bodies and seek to hide or change them. Many fear their body being seen by anyone.

Is this what we want? With God’s help we believe we can do better than this. Here at the GOE church we believe—“Less Clothes = Closer to God’s Plan”—He created us to live n**e, and saw it as very good, but he gave us the choice. Adam and Eve chose to believe Satan’s lies and see the body as something unclean and perverse. Whose vision will you use? Free yourself from the lie and present yourself whole and complete, without need for covering or adornment, and you will discover what it really means to see through God’s eyes.

One of our favorites, and a great prayer for the new year.

Isaiah 40:31
but those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6 (KJV)

From the Garden of Eden Church to all of you as we celebrate this day the birth of our Lord and Savior, may this promise fulfilled be your living reality in all things. The best gift you can give is a life wholly surrendered to him. May God bless you all now and forever.

The GOE church has been asked if Christians will wear clothes in heaven. After research and study we can't find a definitive answer to this question. Lots of opinions, spoken with great authority, but in the end no one really knows. I know that my hope is that along will all the detritus of this world we will leave the clothing behind.

Another great quote from ournaturistlife.com The same should be true for all Christians. For us at the GOE Church, it's never about how you look, it's about who you are, and your relationship with Christ.

Repost of a repost, we couldn't agree more!...

Satan is not opposed to good morals.
He’s opposed to Jesus Christ.
Read that again because most Christians miss this completely.
Satan doesn’t care if you’re a “good person.” He doesn’t care if you volunteer at the food bank, recycle your trash, and help old ladies cross the street. He doesn’t care if you’re kind, generous, and well-liked by everyone in your community.
He cares that you don’t bow the knee to Jesus.
Here’s the deception that’s damning millions:
Satan has convinced people that morality equals spirituality. That being a “good person” is the same as being a Christian. That if you just live right, treat people well, and avoid the “big sins,” you’re acceptable to God.
This is a lie straight from the pit of hell.
The Pharisees had impeccable morals. They followed the law meticulously. They were respected, disciplined, and religiously devoted.
Jesus called them children of the devil.
Why? Not because their morals were bad. Because their morals replaced Christ.
Satan’s greatest trick isn’t making bad people worse. It’s making good people think they don’t need a Savior.
Think about it:
The atheist who feeds the homeless thinks he’s good enough without God.
The Buddhist who meditates and practices compassion thinks she’s enlightened without Christ.
The Muslim who prays five times daily thinks he’s righteous without Jesus.
The moral Christian who goes to church, pays his tithe, and avoids scandal thinks he’s saved without surrender.
All of them are headed to the same place: eternal separation from God.
Because morality doesn’t save. Jesus saves.
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9
Satan loves moral people who reject Jesus. They’re his best advertisement for the lie that you can earn your way to heaven.
They’re living proof that you can:
•Be kind without Christ
•Be generous without God
•Be disciplined without the Holy Spirit
•Be respected without redemption
And still be lost.
The most dangerous people in hell won’t be the murderers and rapists. They’ll be the moral, upstanding citizens who thought their goodness was good enough.
Their morals became their idol. Their goodness became their god.
And Satan smiled because he’d accomplished his goal: Keep them from Jesus.
Here’s what most Christians don’t understand:
Satan doesn’t need to make you do bad things. He just needs to keep you from doing the ONE thing that matters: surrendering to Christ.
If he can get you to:
•Trust your morals instead of Christ’s sacrifice
•Rely on your goodness instead of God’s grace
•Believe in your works instead of Jesus’ finished work
He’s won.
You can live a moral life and still die lost. You can be a good person and still face judgment. You can avoid all the “big sins” and still end up separated from God forever.
Because the only sin that damns you eternally is rejecting Jesus Christ.
“He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.” John 3:36
Not the murderer who repents and believes in Christ is damned.
Not the thief who turns to Jesus on the cross is damned.
Not the pr******te who washes Jesus’ feet with her tears is damned.
The moral, religious person who rejects Christ is damned.
That’s why Satan loves morality without Jesus. It sends people to hell with a smile on their face, convinced they were good enough.
Stop trusting your morals. Start trusting Jesus.
Your goodness won’t save you. Your works won’t redeem you. Your morality won’t justify you.
Only the blood of Jesus Christ can wash away your sin and make you acceptable to a holy God.
Everything else is just Satan’s distraction from the one thing that actually matters..... Blessings
