“I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4‬:‭1‬-‭3‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Today our church prayed for two churches in Haiti that we support. They were celebrating Mother’s Day today.

That is unity.

Hey all, I have been out of pocket for a few weeks. Shoulder surgery, a weekend retreat, and trying to catch up around the house and church. What does that tell you? Life has a way of consuming your time. Trials and struggles of life will pursue. How do you handle them?
Proverbs 24:16 - for though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again, but the wicked stumble when calamity strikes.

Notice that the righteous fall 7 times but keep getting back up.
This week if life has you down, pray, seek his word and find a brother or sister in Christ to walk alongside you.

Join us this Sunday for bible study at 9:30 am and service at 11:00 am. You are welcome here.

Yesterday we looked at Jesus walking on water and the reference to Job 9:8. He is God.
John also declares he is God:
John 1:1-14 - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. 6 There was a man sent from God whose name was John. 7 He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all might believe. 8 He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light. 9 The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. 10 He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. 11 He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— 13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God. 14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

The Word was God.
The Word became flesh.

It is time to put your trust and faith in Jesus.
Join us on Sunday as we hear about His grace.

You are welcome here.

This past Sunday we were in Matthew 14 where Jesus feeds the 5,000 and then sends the disciples out on the water. After a time of prayer, he walks on water. Without saying a word, Jesus was declaring he is God. Look at the Book of Job which we just covered:
Job 9:8 - He alone stretches out the heavens and treads on the waves of the sea.

Jesus was treading on the waves of the sea. He is God.

This Sunday we have Pastor Dylan bringing the message from Ephesians 2.
This message will be on grace - God's riches at Christ expense.

Ephesians 2:8-10 - For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

You are welcome here.

Job 42
1. Job confessed God's omnipotence and omniscience; he humbly repented and rejoiced in his new revelation knowledge of God, vv. 1-6.
2. God rebuked Job's three friends and ordered them to offer sacrifices while Job prayed for them, vv. 7-9.
3. Job prayed for his friends, and God restored his material losses two-fold, plus He gave him seven sons and three daughters, vv. 10-13.
4. Job named his daughters, gave them equal inheritances as his sons, and saw his great-grandchildren, before dying at age 140, vv. 14-17.

As we finish the book of Job, it sounds like everything ended happily ever after with Job getting two-fold the possessions and 10 children. Job was restored but he did not get back his first 10 children or his possessions.

Restored

This Easter Sunday is my anniversary as a Christian. Easter 1994 I surrendered my life to Christ.

32 years ago, my life was changed forever. Today, you can have a changed life too. Repent from your sins, believe in Jesus, confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord.

Join us today for a special service as we will also be having a baptism at the end of service.

Love in Christ,

Job 41
1. Notice that "Leviathan" is capitalized as a proper name, whereas "the behemoth" (Job 40:15) is a generic name, as are all the other animals named in chapter 39.
2. "Leviathan" is given an entire chapter (34 verses), more than all the animals in chapter 39 combined (33 verses), and triple the number of verses used to describe the behemoth (10 verses).
3. "Leviathan" is mentioned elsewhere in the Scripture:
1) Job cited Leviathan as associated with a curse, Job 3:8. (Compare this verse with Gen. 3:1-19.)
2) The Psalmist wrote of God defeating ("breaking the heads") of sea serpents .. . of "Leviathan," Psa. 74:13-14; Gen. 3:15; again Leviathan is identified as a sea serpent in Psa. 104:25-26.
3) Isaiah wrote of the Lord punishing and slaying with His severe, great, strong sword the fleeing and twisted serpent named "Leviathan," Isa. 27:1; Rev. 1:16; 19:15. Most Bible scholars identify Lucifer (Isa. 14:12-15) as Satan; later in that same chapter Isaiah wrote of "a viper ... a fiery flying serpent," v. 29.
4) John wrote about "the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan," Rev. 20:2.
4. Leviathan," according to the words of the Lord God Himself, is more than a crocodile, a whale, a dinosaur, or a constellation of stars (all suggestions which have been made by Bible scholars to explain this fantastic creature); God said: "Out of his mouth go burning lights; sparks of fire shoot out. Smoke goes out of his nostrils, as from a boiling pot and burning rushes. His breath kindles coals, and a flame goes out of his mouth," vv. 19-21.

Before I became a Christian, I used the excuse that the bible is not trustworthy because it doesn't mention dinosaurs.
My Sunday school teacher asked me to look through the bible to see if it talks about ticks or chiggers. I could not find them in the bible. So my Sunday school teacher said, well since the bible does not talk about dinosaurs, ticks or chiggers, why don't we open the bible up and read what it does talk about - Jesus.

Tomorrow is Easter Sunday. Resurrection day. He is Risen.
