God answers our prayers—but do we trust His answers?

We often come to God already knowing the answer we want. But faith means trusting Him when His answer is yes, no, wait, or something completely different than we expected.

The question isn’t only, “Will God answer?”

It’s also, “Will I trust Him with the answer?”

Trust. Rejoice. Praise.

David’s circumstances hadn’t necessarily changed—but his focus had.

Faith remembers God’s past faithfulness and anticipates His future deliverance.

“I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation.”

Worship is the believer’s response even in the waiting.

Prayer is the turning point between despair and hope.

When we cannot change our circumstances, we can still cry out to the God who hears.

In Psalm 13:3–4, David asks God to:
🙏 Look and answer.
💪 Restore his strength.
🛡️ Prevent his enemies from defeating him.

Prayer may not immediately change what is happening around us, but it turns our attention toward the One who is still in control.

Christians can be honest with God.

David doesn’t hide his pain in Psalm 13:1–2. He brings his questions, sorrow, and frustration directly to the Lord.

Lament is not unbelief. It is faith expressing pain and suffering.

Faith doesn’t mean pretending everything is okay. Faith means knowing where to take our pain.

Sometimes the question isn’t just, “How long will I have to endure this?”

It’s also, “How long will I have to draw near to God in this?”

Waiting is hard. But the waiting season can also become the place where we learn to seek Him, depend on Him, and know Him more deeply.

Don’t waste the waiting. Draw near.

God has given mankind both dignity and responsibility.

Our true identity and purpose are found in Christ. We were created with value and entrusted with the responsibility to honor God in the way we live and care for what He has made.
