Sunday morning and the roads are icy, it’s cold and many Church doors are closed, but the door of heaven is always open. That door is Jesus Christ the Lord. Maybe we can’t go to our local church but we can still worship wherever we are. Jesus said that where two or three are gathered in my name there I am with you. Christ is always close to those who believe in Him for forgiveness of sin and trust in what he did on the cross of Calvary. Many people say there are many ways to Heaven but they are wrong. The ONLY WAY is through the blessed blood of Jesus shed on the cross. Jesus said “I am the way, the truth and the life, no man cometh the Father, but by me.”
So I hope if you’re not in church, you will take time today to read some scripture and pray and give God the glory for all He has done for you and for all the blessings He has bestowed on you, especially for your salvation.

I don’t know who started the rumor the Ida Grove Gospel Church was broken into and robbed, but it is false. Please do not spread this rumor! May God bless each of you that sees this and please share it so this rumor will be stopped.

I know some churches are closing because of a new outbreak of Covid. We are still open and also broadcasting on fm 106.9 in our parking lot. If you would like to listen to our service on your car radio please join us in the parking lot of Ida Grove Gospel Chapel at 135 Ida Hollow Road Luray, VA.

Beginning Sunday Morning January 3, 2021 we will be offering drive-in service through fm radio as well as inside with masks and social distancing. Come out and worship with us on the first Sunday of the new year.

Ida Grove Gospel Chapel will hold services at the church this Sunday. It will be a drive in service at 11 o’clock. Everyone will remain in their cars and I will preach from the front porch maintaining social distancing. Easter is approaching and we need to think out of the box so we can celebrate Easter and give all praise, glory and honor to God for the salvation we have received through His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. All are welcome, come join us at 135 Ida Hollow Road.

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourself: it is a gift of God: Not of works, less any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8,9

Many believe that you have to work your way to heaven and some believe that there are many ways to heaven, but the Bible is very clear about this. The Lord Jesus himself declared “I am the way, the truth and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” How does this happen? By accepting the forgiveness of sins provided by God’s grace through his son’s death on the cross. Christians work because they are saved, not for salvation. If you’ve never accepted Jesus as your savior, maybe today is the right time to surrender to his lordship. Grace, peace and eternal life can be yours.
Remember, Today is the first day of the rest of you life. No matter what you have been or done in the past, God still loves and wants you to be part of his family. Why not accept his free gift of forgiveness today?

It’s Christmas Eve and I’m sitting here with my wife watching Christmas movies. Suddenly I realize that Christmas is all about love. The love that God has for his creation. The love so strong for all of humankind that He would send his Son to the earth in the form of a baby, to grow and live as a man, and then die on a cruel cross for the sins of all mankind. This is the greatest gift ever given. At this Christmas remember what the real reason for the season is all about. If you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ share it with someone this Christmas and then they too can know the reason for the season. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one can come unto the Father but by me.”
