Joy shows up when we put others first.

Proverbs says it plainly, that whoever refreshes others will be refreshed (11:25), which sounds like a nice idea until you try it and notice it’s true.

Most of us learned it by watching somebody. Like the parent who always had an extra casserole in the car for whoever needed one. Nobody announced it, which is how faith tends to move through a family.

Who makes your day better without trying?
