One early morning, I sat beside Grandma, my face heavy with worry. She noticed my silence and asked softly,
βWhatβs sitting on your heart, my child?β
I sighed. βGrandma, I just donβt feel motivated anymore. I donβt feel like doing anything.β
She looked at me with those wise eyes and said,
βThen stop worshipping your feelings. Feelings are guests β they come, they go. The rain doesnβt wait for how it feels to fall. The sun doesnβt ask if it feels bright enough to rise. So why do you?β
I stared at her, unsure what to say.
She continued, her tone calm but firm,
βYou say you want to change, yet you sit waiting for your feelings to agree. But life doesnβt wait for emotions β it moves for action. If you want your story to change, your hands must move before your heart does.β
I whispered, βBut Grandma, itβs hardβ¦β
She smiled gently.
βOf course it is. But think β has complaining ever planted a seed? Has sadness ever built a house? The soil only responds to action. You can cry over the grass, but unless you water it, it will never grow.β
Then she raised her hand and pointed at the horizon.
βMove even when you donβt feel like it. Thatβs how warriors win. Feelings can lie β action reveals the truth.β
Her words cut deep. And that day, I learned β motion creates meaning, not mood.
