Don't forget! Novena beginning Saturday 6/6

Each household is encouraged to prepare spiritually for the enthronement by praying a novena—June 6-14, 2026. This simple but meaningful act can become a powerful source of grace, reminding us daily of the Lord’s presence and His love for us.

Every household is invited to enthrone in their home the Sacred Heart of Jesus on June 14, 2026, the same day as the Archdiocesan consecration. We encourage you to prepare for this by obtaining a simple 8x10” frame for the image and designating a place of honor for it in your home. Images of the Sacred Heart will be blessed and distributed in every parish of the Archdiocese during Masses on June 13-14th.

There will be no 5pm confessions next Wednesday, June 10th. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Confession will be offered on Saturday at 2:45pm.

Please join us as we enter into a time Prayer and Consecration for the United States as well as for the Archdiocese of New Orleans.

As part of the 250th Anniversary of the United States of America, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) will consecrate the United States to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus on June 11, 2026. Catholics throughout the nation are invited to pray the Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus in preparation for this.

Families are encouraged to participate in the tradition of Home Enthronement to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, inviting Christ to reign in their homes and hearts.

Additionally, the Archdiocese of New Orleans will consecrate the Archdiocese to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus on June 14, 2026, beginning with a special Holy Hour on Thursday, June 4, in parishes throughout the Archdiocese of New Orleans in an effort to unite our local Church in prayer and devotion to the Heart of Christ.

Let us come together to pray for our nation, our Church, our communities, and our families as we entrust them to the loving Heart of Jesus.
