We have a heart to minister healing from the Lord to others through Word and Song. Steve and Tammy Hammond have been married since 1994 and have three talented children who are all involved in music ministry. The Hammond’s have a heart to offer healing from the Lord to others through Word and Song. Steve is a minister with the Assemblies of God and has been involved with pulpit ministry for 27 yea
rs. He is also a singer/songwriter. It is through these songs that people have been truly set free. One radio station played a song he wrote called “Reach the Unreachable” and got a phone call the next day with a testimony. That person had heard the song and was about to take his own life when something got into him and he found himself falling on his knees and praying to God for help and forgiveness. It is with that song in mind that the ministry has its drive. “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” KJV We believe that is talking about Faith in that finished work of Christ on the cross and that is truly how we overcome. They desire to reach those that are unreachable. Stephen and Tammy have a passion and a compassion to minister to the hurting and bruised and to help families place their full trust in the Lord for help and strength in the fight. Currently Tammy is a teacher’s aide in the Hudson ISD school system and is studying online for her teacher’s certification but her heart is to reach out to ladies who have shattered dreams and broken hearts due to various family and life circumstances. She is a prayer warrior and believes that God can and will restore hope in the lives of all who truly call on the Name of the Lord. She also handles the social media part of the ministry. Their daughter Ruby has an exuberant personality which is infectious and has been known to cause people to break out in laughter. She has a beautiful singing voice and is starting to play an active role in the ministry activities. Stephen and Tammy are proud of what God is doing in Ruby and can’t wait to see what God will do next. Jonathan is away at college but when home he is also a part of the ministry. He too has an outgoing personality and loves to make people laugh. When the scripture talks about a merry heart makes good like medicine it had to have been referring to Jonathan. Brian is their oldest and is married to Jami. They are active in their local church where Jami runs sound and teaches Sunday School and Brian is a musician on the worship team. Most ministry opportunities will only be Steve and Tammy with Ruby but no matter what their prayer is that the Holy Spirit will work and move in every service and bring about the will of God as only He can.
