Bishop Leroy Shankle Sr. & Supervisor Verdia Bennett Shankle. With deep respect and enduring love, we honor the profound legacy of Bishop Leroy Shankle Sr. (1940–2021) and Supervisor Verdia Bennett Shankle (1945–2026). As devoted spiritual leaders, loving parents, and dedicated pillars of the Lufkin, Texas community, their lifetimes of service transformed countless lives. Together, they founded and nurtured The Church By Christ Jesus, built lasting foundations through the Leroy Shankle Concrete Company, Red Carpet Styling Salon and dedicated their hearts to sheltering the homeless, supporting foster children, and uplifting those in need. Though they have transitioned from this life, their blueprint of unwavering faith, compassion, and divine leadership remains permanently etched in the hearts of their family, congregation, and community
