ut ultimately the needs are met by him. Southside is a "Come As You Are" church. There are definitely no dress codes here. We call our worship service a "blended" service, a mixture of classical hymns and modern praise songs sung by our choir and played by a full band.

Starting next week for 6 weeks, we’re coming together as one church family for a special Bible study focused on prayer, led by Jerry Spann!

What does it truly mean to be the church? This past Sunday, we were reminded that Southside Baptist Church is not an English church or a Spanish church -- we are ONE church, on ONE journey, with ONE mission: to make an impact on our community with the gospel of Jesus Christ and to make disciples of all nations.

Drawing from Ephesians 4:1-16, we were challenged to walk worthy of our calling -- with humility, patience, and genuine love for one another. The pastor equips the saints, but every single member has a role in doing the work of the ministry. You are not a spectator. You are the body of Christ.

Are you praying daily for your pastor and his family? Are you sharing Jesus with the people in your life? Stop asking what the church can do for you, and start asking what God wants to do through you.

The altars are always open. Come grow with us.
