The Springfield Stake Western Hoedown was a spirited evening that brought together community members for a celebration of frontier fun, neighborly competition, and great food.

Event Highlights
* Boot-Scootin' Dancing Lessons-The evening kicked off with guided instruction on the open floor. Beginners and seasoned pros alike learned the basics of country dancing.
* Costume Competition-Many attendees arrived in their finest western wear. Prizes were awarded for the best dressed cowboy/cowgirl attire.
* Chili Cook off & Competition-The centerpiece of the meal was a heated Chili Cookoff, featuring many entries.
* Tasting & Voting: Attendees acted as judges, sampling a wide variety of recipes—from spicy "Springfield-style" chilis to milder, hearty versions.
* The Winners: After a careful tally of votes, top honors were awarded to the "Chili Champs" for their winning crock pots.
* Side Bites: To complement the chili, a spread of cornbread, and treats were provided for all.
All in attendance agree…we hope this will be an annual event!!
