Open Heart Fellowship Church (formerly First Baptist Church)
Open Heart Fellowship was founded in 1969 as the Ludington Baptist Chapel and originally met at the Stearns Motor Inn. The present building was purchased in the 1970’s and the name was eventually changed to Ludington Baptist Church. In recent years the name was changed again to First Baptist Church of Ludington. In July of 2018, the name was changed to Open Heart Fellowship. We are affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention, the Baptist State Convention of Michigan and the Woodland Association of baptist churches.
The church hit its high point of attendance in the 1970s when the Consumer’s Energy project was being built. We welcome people from everywhere to come and worship with us. We believe that God loves us and that He sent His only Son, Jesus, to live among us, to be beaten and die on a cross for our sins and that He was raised on the third day so that we may be resurrected in the day he has prepared. We believe that Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life, and that He is the only way to the Father.
